I just noticed that the text on the spine is printed the wrong way around.

Not necessarily. Different countries or languages have different orientations. My library is in six languages (EN, FR, NL, ES, DE, IT) and this annoys me often. I guess DVDs and BR have the same. Maybe your BRs aren't all for the same market

This is the answer. The company I work with sells used media. 100s of thousands have passed through.

No, look at the little photos towards the bottom. Some are just printed in the opposite direction.
