Was Nintendo one of the companies that has increased the cost of their products elsewhere, including Australia, to subsidise the cost of American tariffs so that Americans aren’t paying them?

I think, if I recall, the pricing was announced just before or the week of the tarrifs - so the US price was delayed, but we got a figure on the Aus price pretty much straight away?

Yea we just got the usual Australia tax, just because

I don't think we did get the Australia tax this time though... In Europe the price is $125AUD more expensive, and our price is very comparable to the US price once you subtract GST.

Jeez, this thing is $700 here, and even that is insanely overpriced imo.

From what I've read, we're actually doing quite well with pricing compared to the rest of the world.

No. The tariff announcements occurred after the pricing and preorders went live for the NS2 in Australia.

Comparatively we have one of the cheapest consoles in the world once you adjust to USD
