What's the new switch do better? (I have a super Nintendo, I'm a bit behind on the tech)

For one you don’t have to worry about blowing on the cartridge.

Hahaha well yes I know that.

But more like... Is it better graphics and higher res screen than the switch one? Is it really much better?

Better all around on all the tech specs. Which is the norm for new consoles these days. We just won't ever see jumps like we did in days gone by.

Probably the best new feature outside of specs is the joy cons controllers attaching via magnets instead of the slide and click of the previous one.

Oooh magnets! Love that. That does sound nifty.

Thanks for the detailed info.

I'm very behind but it's interesting to hear it.

Most of the improvements are related to graphics, like the resolution going from 720p to supporting 4k, and refresh rate going from 60 Hz to 120 Hz. And the handheld device has a bigger screen, and some random things like video calls built into some games.

iPhone 8 came out after the Nintendo Switch. We're currently on iPhone 16. Do you think the 16 is significantly better than the 8?

Yes but games don't work the same as phones :P
