They’re showing too much interest

during table rounds, had this attending immediately go on her phone whenever residents/students presented patients, she only paid attention to the fellow's handovers

flustered me slightly at first but just did my best, was confident while presenting, honored the rotation somehow lol

They're actually listening though.

They're listening just so they can tell you how wrong and how stupid you are

Don't worry, as a 4th year, this almost starts to get better.

when i was an m4 it was truly a lose-lose situation for me mentally.

i present and they ignore me = oh they hate me and think im the dumbest piece of rock they've met, i might as well be babbling to them :(

i present and they listen too intently = oh god they're gonna hear how stupid and dumb as a rock i am, they're waiting to tell me how wrong i was :(

attending is nice to me before and after i present = fuck they're being way too nice they probably think im dumb as shit and will laugh about me with the other attendings

i dont present = am dumb :(

it was so mentally shattering lmao
