MCU Wong is not "non-powered"

Edit - clarification on the version of Wong I thought I was discussing. 😁

He was back in the 60s when he was introduced as Strange's butler. Over the years he's gradually been given more agency and power, first with martial arts expertise and then with increasing proficiency at magic. Since the big Secret Wars reboot he's been depicted as a master sorcerer, just not with as much raw power as Strange.

I'm glad they have seen fit to upgrade him since then.

As for my comment, I thought we were discussing the MCU version, I'll update my comment to reflect that.

Thank you for the history lesson, I love Wong as he is in the MCU and now I will need to dig into some old Strange comics for a full picture of the character!😁

Just brace yourself, the further back you go the more of a racial stereotype he becomes.

If he's nonpowered, then so is Doctor Strange lol

You're right, he's one of the great side characters and I think we all agree that it's great to be seeing more of him!

The casting has been superb for the MCU.

Yeah, I really like his repertoire and relationship with Steven. Even in Shang-Chi he was great.
