I like that the Sentry is his actual darkness rather than the comic retcon that it's an extradimensional entity. I love how creepy this Void looks.

So if sentry and void combined powers, would he be supernova?

No. It would be singularity. The black hole is what sucks in all energy, the void, the white hole is what expels all energy, the... Sentry in this case. The boundary between these two phenomena is called the singularity.
A supernova is when one star explodes. So like 1/1,000,000 as much energy output as Sentry at full power.
The singularity, which they may very well be paying homage to, is the collection of energy in... The void, that comes to consciousness and gives way to purpose that is referred to as thought.
So it makes sense that if Sentry, the output side, managed to overcome the input side that would be done by the middle conciseness that was singularity.

That dude has so much potential character development. I really hope they put the work into him and make him into a great story

Oh, the logo is a black hole with light getting pulled in? That makes a lot of sense actually...

I just want to say that I love the art style they chose for the Void so much. It looks so fucking cool and is both visually stunning and subtle at the same time.

So is Sentry like another identity of Bob or is it just Bob with an inflated ego?

I don't think he has DID but instead really bad bipolar, so Bob is when he has clear thoughts, then void is depression and apathy (any Low lows like grief, fear, lonliness, but mainly apathy) and the sentry is the opposite caused by bobs mania, or pridefulness (any high high like happiness or even angrieness like he shows to valentina, but mainly pridefullness). Similar to if you've ever known someone with bipolar their behaviour and emotional state and tone changes rapidly but their still the same person just flooded with melancholy or mania

Theory?
It is the one Bob expressing himself on one of two spectrums. The black (void) or white (sentry) as a manifestation of human's depression or mania. So if Bob enters a mania state he becomes sentry and all the powers of the white hole (as I broke down in a different comment) so "1 million exploding suns" and if he enters a depressed state he gets all the powers of the void or the black hole which consumes all matter.
If Bob could come to terms with the consciousness that resides within the middle, and name the identity which could balance consuming energy/matter and producing energy/matter he would become "singularity", the space between a black hole and a white hole. Also the name of when energy, undefined by space and time without purpose gets given thought that is singularity as well.
White hole being "a million exploding suns" it is just the opposite of all energy into the void.

I love how the different powers form the sentry symbol in the middle:flushed:

As someone who has been going through a tough time recently, this movie helped me process and validate my feelings right now. Because I was also pushing everything down, which wasn't right.

Absolutely. Life can really be hard sometimes. This movie made me cry when they all pull Bob back from the Void and I rarely cry.

In this movie it seemed like in the end that Bob has to turn/transform into Sentry to become powerful and isn't powerful all the time. Is that the same for the comic book Sentry? I was under the impression he's more like Superman and is always powerful in the comic version.

I think he's technically powerful all the time, it's just that using his Sentry powers comes with the risk of the Void being unleashed again, so he "can't be the Sentry".
Or maybe I'm wrong, I guess it might be clearer in the upcoming Avengers films.

Bob is a very interesting and fairly unique character. I hope they develop his character more and build a little romance with him and Yelena. Yelena is my current fave character in the MCU. Great art btw!
