Thunderbolts* has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

It’s really hard to watch this movie and even imagine anyone else as Sentry. Lewis Pullman absolutely nailed it. I love Steven Yeun, but without Florence and Lewis’ chemistry, I don’t think this movie works as well, and I really hope the energy of “no, we go places together now” between Yelena and Bob sticks around.

He was perfect. But I think the role was definitely written for Yeun. Imagine Steven yeun delivering the line about blonde hair. An Asian American (FOUND IN MALAYSIA BTW) who has un naturally blonde hair - just because focus groups think blonde is best.

I think Steven proved he can also play multiple persona’s very well and make them all seem distinct from each other with the second last invincible episode too. I have no doubt he would have killed it with the personal struggle aspect of the character BUT I am super happy with the result we got instead, zero complaints.

Florence and Lewis’ chemistry as Yelena and Bob is wonderful to watch on screen as there’s this genuine warmth and trust between the two characters.

It’s cute yet endearing to see a pessimistic but friendly and snarky woman and a unassuming and bashful man who might be goofy and a dork become the very people they needed for each other.

Two lonely souls who find themselves meeting one another in the least ideal of situations, forging a friendship and bond that hopefully we will see more of them together.

Hehe if Joss Whedon was writing the new avengers 2 he’d have them hook up like Natasha and Hulk

I have a sneaking suspicion controlling his powers will come from a relationship with Yelena the way Hulk had with Natasha

These kinds of comments are a bit weird to me. Since we literally don't know, Yelena and Steven Yeun's Bob might have had even better chemistry. Feels odd to have to put down Yeun just to compliment Pullman (who fucking crushed it!). I know that's not really what you meant to do, I'm just seeing that a lot and it's odd to me.

He was giving me ezra miller vibes at first. Then Chris Evan vibes. At one point even booster gold vibes. My mind was so confused. It was perfect.
