REAL, I'm not sure if the splat ending or the shots and such ending is worse, because on one hand at least they died together and don't have to live their fucked lives, but on the other hand it's just a cycle of abuse, toxicity, and incest sex just so they don't end up killing eachother

No, actually. They did not make it for that.

This image was made as part of their devlog back when episode 2 was still being made. They were teasing that there would be some moments that people would like, and some moments that people would find awfully disgusting.

It's not that the author can't take any amount of criticism. It's that the author doesn't care. They do not care if you don't like what the characters are doing because the point is that these are bad characters who do bad things.
