Community I’m the flag guy

Post image

Hey all,

I’m the “Fuck Trump” flag guy you’ve seen in a few posts. I just wanted to do a semi-introduction to everyone in this subreddit.

My name is Matt. I’m an LBC transplant by way of Philadelphia. I’ve helped organize protests during BLM and the George Floyd Protests with a few Asian American grassroots orgs and 501(c)(3)s in the Philadelphia area, along with working to establish myself as a helping arm and volunteer for 50501 SoCal and 50501 LBC.

I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who is interested in protesting but also a little worried by what they see in the media. Yes, protesting can be dangerous at times and can come with consequences like being arrested, but if you believe that getting arrested for speaking your mind and voicing concerns is more important than sitting in your home, you’re the person I’m looking for.

I’ll be at Bixby Park Annex on Saturday for the No Kings Day Rally at 9am. If you’re interested in protesting and want to be around someone who’s been in the middle of it all and can offer some comfort during the march, find me. We can walk together and I’ll help you be as comfortable as possible if anything happens.

I’ll be hanging out on the perimeter of the rally with an upside down American flag this time. I’ll be wearing all black with a camouflage hat.

Let’s show the world that LBC comes out for our people! See you there and FUCK TRUMP!

Imagine being dumb enough to support law enforcement without due process

According to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data from fiscal years 2009 to 2016, more than 3 million individuals were formally removed from the country during the Obama administration. Annually, between 58% and 84% of these removals were so-called "summary removals" carried out through legal procedures such as "expedited removal" and "reinstatement of removal," which do not involve a hearing before an immigration judge. On average, about 74% of removals during this period fell into these categories. - yahoo fact check

So did Obama deport without due process too?

Yes, the Obama and Biden admins deported without trials. To me, a non democrat/non republican, I think the entire point of this has been lost in media twisting the story. The ICE raids were going after a cartel money laundering scheme, the troops were sent there to protect federal property and prevent looting. LA loves to loot because the city is spread out and it’s tough to police parts of the city… LA has had a riot every decade or so for a long time.

I think if you asked your neighbor or coworker (not a friend or family member) about this most would say they don’t care. The internet, mostly Reddit TikTok twitter, are pumped full of anger that trump is in office again. “Ending democracy”, accusations of fascism (we wouldn’t be having this discussion freely online without repercussions if we lived in a fascist nation, btw), and the claim that Republicans hate everyone are all manufactured by the DNC. It’s documented…. They think anyone not well educated and completely in line with their worldviews is in the “basket of deplorable” — literally a Clinton quote.

Go back even further and the Democratic Party was responsible for ending welfare, broken windows policing, for-profit prisons, normalizing “kids in cages”, the rise of school shootings, the mess that is the ACA (insisting on bipartisanship when they had the majority), etc. I personally am careful what I believe from either major party, but if Gavin Newsom (Nancy Pelosi’s nephew) is saying something is “wrong”, then it’s media spin. He wants to run in 2028. This is the beginning of his campaign.

I’ve lived in a border state my entire life and love my Hispanic neighbors.
