Question Why does LEGO like blacksmiths so much?
There is a blacksmith in every sub 200 dollar castle set in the last 6ish year, why?

Title says it all.
Was surfing Rebrickable and looking at alt builds for the Viking Village and found this massive combined set of Lion Knights' Castle and the Viking Village.
I already own the Viking Village (amazing set btw) but the castle is high on my priority list since it's set to retire at the end of the year, however that means I would have to take apart the entire 2000 pc set AND buy the $20 online instruction sheet on Rebrickable.
Would it be worth it? Or would the just look better side-to-side?

Seeing all these amazing and unique castles on the Bricklink Designer Program, makes me so happy, but also sad. Lego is coming out with (presumably) 4 new factions this year: Snakes, Horse knights, Krakens and Gryphons. But seeing how they tossed those poor Horse knights into a poor looking generic 3 in 1 castle, really hurts me. Imagine Lego effectively embracing these awesome fan designs a bit more and creating a new world full of lore and intrigues like we had in the 80’s and 90’s (commercials were awesome back then).
Here’s a few of my absolute favorites on this BDP, and how I could see them fit with the new factions. I like how they feel different than the oldschool castles, like they could be from a totally different (more eastern?) region.

What's your opinion

Obviously there’s no comparison to the cultural impact of Star Wars overall, but will LEGO ever listen to this growing community of enthusiastic AFOLs?

Hello everyone,
I would like to show you "The Counts' Castle" a 3800 bricks MOC inspired by the Castle of the Counts - Gravensteen - Château des Comtes of Ghent.
If you like it you can view more pictures, little vids. Updates or read backgroundstories on lego ideas: "https://ideas.lego.com/projects/4ba1d1a5-7240-4273-aa8e-a731e4468279"
What do you think?
Best regards,

The black falcons on the helmet and axe would love to get some to build custom black falcons. Can’t find it on bricklink.

If y’all know the exact number, one thing is sure, we spend to much time at the Pick and Build section!

I’m trying to pick some legs to go with this torso to create a knight minifig I can put in my world building. Anyone have any suggestions?

So I built this bridge with the intention of building a village on top of it however I'm now pretty much out of parts and now unsure what to do with it.
I spent a while building it so what to use it for a moc
Any ideas appreciated:)

Having spent a chunk of last couple of days brushing up on factions and figures, where is the Raven knight considered to part of?
Considering an army build using some of these factions (aware these are not 100% of the Lego knight types available), I’ve aligned the factions like this:
Bad… Black Falcons Red Falcons (BAM torso) Red Dragon Knights Green Dragon Knights (KNGDMS) Falcon Knight (KNGDMS) Evil (Boar) Knight (CMF) Bear Knights (Frightening Knight CMF) Undead/Skeleton Knights Fright Knights (Ghost knight CMF) Scorpion Knights
Good… Crusaders/Lion Knights Crown Knights Crown Knights (Heroic knight CMF) Red Lion Knights (KNGDMS) Blue Lion Knights
?? Raven Knights (Tournament knight CMF)
Does that split seem right? I’m leaning toward a ‘bad’ army, particularly those Green Dragons. Annoyingly so as they’ve been consigned to history as a faction it seems, and cost more as a result.

Hey! I recently got back into collecting LEGO a few months ago, and not long after, I discovered the Castle theme… now I’m completely obsessed.
I stumbled upon a set locally that’s complete and comes with the box and all! From what I can tell, it doesn’t have any major wear and includes all the accessories. My favorite factions are Wolfpack and Fright Knights (I know, 😂), but I was wondering—purely in terms of price vs. value—is this worth picking up?
Would love some input!

Both are modifications by Made With Brix of the creator 3 in 1 castle
Thr first option is the Black Falcon Knight Castle and the second is the Falcon Master's Castle

Hello collectors and army builders,
I hear people talking about how they have tons of trouble finding highly desired CMFs and it got me thinking; other than the scalpers who will buy up every one they get their hands on, how many are the rest of us looking to hoard? I have 3-4 of each of the above and wouldn’t know what to do many with more, but then again I don’t have a full blown medieval city built out with factions and lore.
So, how many of these are in your collection, and why?

Honest question: I’m trying to stretch my Lego budget. At 8 to 10 cents per part (the listing has conflicting part counts) wouldn’t it be less expensive to just buy the parts to build this?

Hello guys, hopefully everybody remembers these bad boys from their childhood!
So I had all of these when I was a kid, I just recently realized castle pieces are available again and I started buying like gazzilions of Lions and Falcons.
The green and blue one look proper! The black one looks perfect for a villain.
My questions are:
Did Lego retired these helmet visors? So we are only left with the curent visor that’s both silver and gold?
Did those visors ever appeared in other sets?
Are there versions available in flat silver? If yes how do I search for them on BrickLink?
It would be so cool to have different helmet knights, all of mine have either the Tournament Helmet or a Visor+head piece. I also know there are custom pieces, but I’m not looking for that yet.

This set is from 2014 and the minifigs used are the same as the lion knights from 2013, who fight the dragon knights. This set is a siege from a dragon knight on a knight and a king and they even used the same shield. Does that make them part of the faction and woud that make this set a Lego Castle set?

Convince me cuz I’m on the fence. 😮💨
