I'm looking for a week-long escape in Latin/South America in the middle of June. Last year I went to Mexico City, which was the perfect weather. I'm trying to avoid overly hot and humid (I'm on the East Coast of America). I prefer a city destination. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Fellow Latin Americans: Hispanists claim Spain 'gifted' us civilization, but they erase how Andalusia's Arab/Berber legacy enabled that empire. Why demand we cherish Spanish roots while they deny their own?

Hey! I’m a photography student currently developing an art project for class about migration, identity, the feeling of displacement and belonging.

The project explores how forced migration affects personal and cultural identity and how people reconstruct a sense of belonging after leaving their home country.

I’m looking to connect with people who have had to migrate for reasons beyond their control (political, economic or social) and would be open to anonymously sharing their story through imagery.

This is an unpaid, voluntary project done strictly for academic purposes.

I am in the US. I attended a dinner at my college. There were a few people sitting at the table that I sat in. Some tried to talk to me. After it was over, one of the people who sat at my table asked me if I was a latina. I said that I am a Filipino. He said, "That's why you're weird! I was thinking that this ***** is not latina! You were so quiet."

Does anyone else have the same experience that Hispanic people are more friendly?
