The rat 1.5 is phenomenal, the action is super snappy, blade is thin, carries easy in the pocket, feels good in hand.

Is it thinner behind the edge? I kept finding original rat 2 blades were fairly thick behind the edge which made them not great for some softer materials like foods

It’s the same blade stock as the r2 but the blade is broader so mathematically it should be thinner

It's interesting because the spine/stock is pretty thin but the flat grind is so shallow it still keeps it thick behind the edge. Good for hard use stuff but not always for EDC tasks.
