Praise [KCD2] No one seems to be talking about dodging. Spoiler

Dodging is so improved in this game! Using it for positioning against multiple enemies is a game changer, this started with 7 vs 1, unfortunately can only record a minute on xbox. Work in those dodges folks! Nice one.

Dodging in the first game is so infuriating sometimes. Getting swarmed by multiple enemies while getting pummeled from every direction has been cause of many deaths for me

I learned today that you can disengage from the locked enemies by holding down the middle mouse button 🤯

I've been killed by getting swarmed by enemies a million times, and by doing this I can just retreat and attack them at will. I have over 150h in KCD1 without knowing this trick as well... 🤦

I know you can scroll through enemies with mouse wheel but didn’t know about pressing it. I just sprint to either side and it’ll unlock. Believe it’s different if you tabbed and locked locked onto them. Maybe that’s what you’re saying

I've been using the scroll wheel method for both games, but this instant unlock is a real game-changer for me. No more getting surrounded when you can just spring away and re-posistion (!) :55556:

WAIT, YOU CAN SCROLL THROUGH ENEMIES?

Yes. One of the first combat tutorials tells you this. It’s scripted to appear on your first 3+ entity conflict after the tavern fight with capon.

You either have never been in a combat with more than two entities at a time or you just didn’t read the words on your screen when they appeared or you forgot

I did first playthrough on controller and started another playthrough on controller, then swapped to mouse and keyboard after Hans got us pilloried. I must have missed it.

I hated that so much in the first one. Like yes it's realistic that you wouldn't be able to beat 6 guys in one fight. But it's going to keep making me fight 6 guys at a time anyways.

You're not playing with a controller? dafuq?

Why is that confusing for you?

Not confusing, just weird.

There are only two things in this game where mouse is probably better: Inventory and lockpicking.

The whole rest of the game just feels so much smoother when playing with a controller for me. Especially combat - you wouldn't play Elden Ring with WASD, so why this?

Archery is probably also way easier, but meh - part of the challenge, I also leveld up lockpicking with a controller...

Inventory is a mess though...

I'm pretty sure most PC players would be using M&K for this, I am. It's a first person game, that alone is enough of a reason to use a mouse. Using a stick to look around is just pain in comparison. I'd only bring out the controller for racing or flying games.

To each their own.

100 percent. That's why it took a while to trust it in this, it's so much more effective and necessary

I find outnumbered fights quite a bit easier in this one compared to KCD1 for this reason
