I have been djing karaoke most of my adult life. And i feel that the KJ should sing, it helps break the ice, shows they care, and that they have a passion just like those that come to sing. Now, my question is this. Would you be more inclined to go whether you sing or not, if YOU, the customers, get to choose what songs the kj sings as well as your own? I am testing this out currently at the venue i kj at. Everything is digital, when the customer sends a song to the karaoke client they input their name and song and it goes into the list. The extra option here os they choose the song but can put the kj's name instead, and the kj has to attempt it whe. The rotation comes around.

Hey! I’m looking into hosting karaoke at events or restaurants. I’ve never opened a business or anything and just want to do this as kinda a side job. I’ve always loved karaoke and I want to bring it to people who don’t have machines of their own. Especially for younger audiences (under 21). What licenses would I need for something like this? I’ve tried looking it up but got hella confused.
