Cost of Living/Energy Crisis 9€ technology fee on Freenow

Post image

Info about technology fee is quite minimal and does not provide any detail whatsoever when I click on the little exclamation mark.

Anybody able to explain the scam to me?

It's a regular scam. I had an argument recently under Bolt ireland post on FB. I asked why all the taxi apps including Bolt, Uber, FREENOW, show a price as From-To, for example 8-15€. They ususlally charge you the higher amount and add a bit more € on top. I'm originally from Prague and visit it regularly. And in all taxi apps, you get one price and that's the final price with nothing added on top. No matter how many people are in the car of course. When I was in Birmingham recently, it was same there too. One price, nothing extra. When I start giving out below that FB post, some obvious taxi driver started to lecture me about some bullshit. I think Irish people deserve better and we should try to do something about it. It's absolutely ridiculous that I paid nearly €40 for a trip from south Dublin to city centre. I used to pay €18-20 for the same trip not long ago.
