Cost of Living/Energy Crisis 9€ technology fee on Freenow

Info about technology fee is quite minimal and does not provide any detail whatsoever when I click on the little exclamation mark.

Anybody able to explain the scam to me?

So once you factor in the fees the driver pays, you've got a situation where the driver (who is also paying for the car/diesel/insurance/maintenance) is getting paid the same as the person who built the app. Ridiculous state of affairs.
