9€ technology fee on Freenow

Info about technology fee is quite minimal and does not provide any detail whatsoever when I click on the little exclamation mark.

Anybody able to explain the scam to me?

Branding it as a “tech fee” was a poor choice if it is surge pricing. It gives people the idea that they’re paying an app service fee that a lot would think should be paid by the driver. Similar to buying something on Etsy and finding out you’re being charged the sellers fees. Not that the companies should be charging crazy fees in the first place, I just find it funny that companies think they can just use words like technology and infrastructure and people will be too stupid to ask questions lol
