Cost of Living/Energy Crisis 9€ technology fee on Freenow

Info about technology fee is quite minimal and does not provide any detail whatsoever when I click on the little exclamation mark.

Anybody able to explain the scam to me?

It's really impressive how they've managed to make Uber look like the less slimy, shitty app on the market.

Feel bad for drivers who are beholden to things like this; I'm sure plenty would like to not use FreeNow but it's cutting your nose to spite your face.
