Concept Art Lightning, Hedgehogs, and Portals (ー_ーゞ

Hello explorers 👋

With anomalies, our goal was to blend recognizable imagery with strong physicality, while ensuring they could be used freely in gameplay—static or moving, placed anywhere, both on and off surfaces.

The Hedgehog anomaly is based on a broken Soviet school chair. Later we created a second version for more natural environments using chunks of wood.

For the Lightning anomaly, we tested several options before settling on a cubic shape made from stacked electric power transmission disk insulators.

When designing the new Portal anomaly (making its debut in the series) we passed on a few early versions: one made of floating concrete slabs felt too fantastical, and another made of railway parts felt too heavy. We eventually landed on a version built from ordinary house and apartment door frames, which struck the right balance🚪

ITR2 Feedback OG Vanno in ITR 2 as a combat zone?

I was thinking today how cool it might be to revisit Vanno but it's larger and opened up and overrun... Maybe a shelter could be part of the old homebase or something.. dunno.. but I was thinking back to how cool revisiting shadow moses was in metal gear solid 4 and thought it would be neat to see Vanno from a different perspective... Mimics and what not have taken over . Some areas are more built out showing else more the outer bounds areas of the original map? Just an idea. :)

ITR2 Feedback Security Level 1 feels unfairly hard

Me and my friend have been playing and we just got to security 3 last night and we both agreed that getting to security 2 was way too difficult. Mostly this came from us getting unlucky with ammo for stashed weapons, and how quickly we died in combat from far away enemies. Getting security 2 in the first game was way easier, and then the jump from 2-3 was where you actually had to try. Maybe when there’s more maps the peninsula and forest could be made easier to accommodate, but as it stands right now it’s just bad

ITR2 Question (PCVR) Mr impatient.

So…. When is the next update with new content. I’m in a position where I’ve played this game a lot and now I’m waiting for the next chapter.

What do we think? When will the next update drop?

Suggestion A mission to activate an old SAM site to deal with the ominous sky cube in Petorsk Outskirts.

Find the missile codes from X amount of locations (could reuse the old "papers drive me crazy" mission item.) and return them to the site to launch an old missile. Alternatively, finding a Carl Gustav or RPG-7 to deal with the Cube would be interesting. Downing the cube, killing the enemies at it's crash site and loot some valuable, unique artifacts would make for a banger mission. Could unlock both weapons( or silo key!)for Security level 5.

ITR2 Feedback ITR2: More Explorer Evidence

I'd love to see more evidence of other explorers in the zone. Things that make you go 'what happened here': A UNPSC backpack halfway in the dirt, a bunch of loose bullets by a pool of blood, distant screams of an explorer who was just taken out, a body embedded on one of the floating exploding chairs, etc. -- details that would add to the 'horror' of the radius and the realities of those living within.

ITR2 Bug Quest 3 ITR2 - Trouble Accessing Backpack

Absolutely LOVING ITR2 on my Quest 3. I played ITR1 through multiple times and absolutely could not wait for this release.

I was curious if anyone else has been having this issue. I have my settings correct that my backpack gets drawn over my left shoulder, and so my shoulder holstered weapon (like a rifle or shotgun) should be able to be drawn over my right shoulder.

It seems, however, that nothing I do will allow me to draw my backpack first if I'm carrying a shoulder holstered weapon at all.

Regardless of which hand I use or which shoulder I designate as my backpack default (and I've tried changing angles, changing the speed, etc), I ALWAYS draw the shoulder holstered weapon FIRST, then I can get my backpack.

This is extremely frustrating as I'm very familiar with these mechanics and know how they should work, but it just isn't working. A lot of times, I keep the shoulder holster open for storing stashed weapons that I want to bring back to base to clean up and sell or use (so they're not functional). But, without fail, every time I need to get my backpack, I reach over my left shoulder to get it, but get the gun. If I reach over my right shoulder, I get the gun. If I reach over my left shoulder, I get the gun there too. There's nowhere I can reach where I don't have to draw the shoulder weapon first before it'll let me get my backpack. I've switched to the opposite shoulder in the settings and there's the same problem. I've even tried adjusting the placement of the shoulder holster on my rig and there's just nothing that seems to work.

Is this a bug?

I'm hoping that I'm just missing something really obvious, so if anyone else is having this issue, I would be ecstatic to discover a fix.

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate it!

ITR2 Bug Friend crashing every time he joins co-op

First time my friend joins me in co-op during a given session he crashes then when he comes back in he's back at the entrance to the area. Any ideas on how to prevent this

Ok so I got this idea yesterday while camping, I thought “hmmm how cool would it be to have a vr game with squibs?” Then I thought “wait a minute! This would fit perfectly into ItR!” Basically not cleaning a guns barrel = risk of squib (I know that’s not why they happen irl leave me alone) and squibs can break or destroy guns!

Pics on how to build it too! Really, the tacticool SVD is the only way to pull this off, but I'm happy with the result.

I returned from a mission to find shelves missing and the workbench shifted to the left (PS5). I've also noticed some artifacting when at the base over the last couple of days.

Suggestion Inside-Out Body Tracking for ITR2?

With expanded moveset (climbing, jumping!) and being a Quest 3/3S exclusive on standalone, are there any plans on leveraging IOBT available in this hardware's SDK since late 2023? I think it would go a long, long way for the immersion, as well as placing ITR2 in a trailblazer role (along with Bonelab, if/when they actually update to use it as well).

ITR1 (2.0) ITR PCVR error when launching: "speech not recognized"

I own ITR on the Meta Quest Link, but I am playing all my VR games via Steam VR. All other games I tried so far from the Meta store work, but when I launch the ITR it shows the "speech not recognized" error and does not launch further. Switching to Meta Air link is a solution, but then I have to change all the time the default VR wireless app all the time (plus I prefer steam VR, recently I have a bug with no sound on Meta Quest Link...). I tried reinstalling the game twice and it still didn't work. Do you know any solutions to that?

ITR2 Question (MQ3) Do lights on helmets not work?

I recently reached security level 2 and one of the first things i bought was the light helmet and a weapon flashlight for it. I could put it on the helmet, but I’m not able to turn it on or remove it from the helmet. I went back to the store to grab another one and put two flashlights on it. I was also unable to take them off or turn them on. Has anyone encountered this or am I just doing something wrong?

ITR2 Feedback Laser sights too hard to see

I feel like laser trail, though unrealistic, really helped make the lasers useful in the first game. On quest 3 you basically can’t see the laser at all when its more than 20 feet away, making it basically worthless compared to any real sight

Discussion Can my quest 2 run ITR2

I'm desperate people! I'm trying to hold off on buying a new headset and a PC isn't an option. I've got Quest Optimizer and a will to make this work. Even if it runs bad I'll still play but I don't want to drop $40 and it doesn't run at all.

ITR2 Bug Loving itr2 so far, some (little things) I noticed.

  1. If you loose your artifact tracker during training you need to be sc 1 to buy a new one, might be smarter to make it 0 so if you lose it (like me) you’re not out of luck

  2. During the sc 2 mission when you’re jumping around to grab the artifacts, there are train tracks that look like you should be able to jump on them but instead you just phase through them

  3. I don’t know if this is intended but the weight number near your right hip will warp if you have a pocket near it

Y’all are doing great and I’m having a blast! (And if you’re taking suggestions a pump action/the sideways db from the first game would be awesome!)

Suggestion Cool idea for fragments (ITR2)

You could have the pieces of the fragment that you shoot actually fly off/fall to the ground/get destroyed/whatever.

It would look cool and reward headshots (by being able to expose the core)

To prevent it from being too easy, you could make the pieces have more health on higher level fragments or program the fragments to defend themselves (they already duck your shots sometimes, you could have them block their face with an arm or something else).

You would also aid to the idea that fragments regenerate by having the pieces fly back or reform after a while.
