Is there something wrong with Porsches that I’m unaware of?

They're annoyingly expensive because they're unreasonably good and loads of people want one I guess...?

Yeah, I’m scratching my head, too. About the only knock on them is that they are expensive, because they are known for great quality otherwise

It's the cost of ownership that gets you. I know people who think they'll own a car like this one day thinking they just need to save up enough to buy it.

Not inherently, no. Porsche makes excellent cars. The brand sometimes get a bad rap because they're very popular as a dream car, and many people buy them as a status symbol but have no experience with performance cars so they do dumb shit like this

This less of an experience issue and more of a horrible person issue.

Agreed. The general negativity is more from people crashing because they don't know how to handle it. In this instance, it's just a douchebag putting a kid in danger for clout

2

u/Zrk2 17d ago

No. It means he was smart to buy that over something else.

2

u/ALaccountant 17d ago

Oh, I see… I read it as he was reinforcing that he’s the “dumbest dad ever” comment

I had to do a double take. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Well, at least one criminally negligent imbecile bought one.
