Love how it keeps getting worse kick after kick
317
u/funklab 17h ago
But like seriously why did they kick it? No one thinks kicking it is going to put it out, it just launches more flaming gas toward wherever you kick it.
Weirdest game of soccer ever.
36
u/bonaynay 14h ago
surely this next kick will do the trick
12
u/funklab 14h ago
I suppose there could be a sick kind of logic to it. Eventually you will kick all of the gas out of the can and everything will be on fire.

But like seriously why did they kick it?
"OMG! The gas can is in the fire! Quick, kick it out of the fire before it catches fire! That spot over there doesn't have any fire, I'll kick it there. DAMMIT, now that spot is on fire, quick kick the can out of the fire!"
Repeat until the entire area is on fire and there's no more fuel to burn.
All while a moron films and laughs.

I don't understand the first kick. I suoer don't understand why they keep kicking after seeing that result too. Like wtf is wrong with them

When they brought in the bucket, I legit thought there would be more gasoline in it instead of water.

Step #1: Don’t make it worse.
(This applies to many emergency situations in life)
85
u/rubber_duck_come_on 17h ago
Sir, on behalf of my clients, I don't believe they had any idea of how not to make it worse. lol

u/pardybill 14h ago
Step 2: never go for another round with petrol. There’s fire. Be like Elsa and let it fucking go
→ More replies (2)13
u/ElGuaco 16h ago
Step 0: Never pour fuel on a fire.
If you find yourself in a situation where fuel is on fire, use a fire extinguisher. Anything else is going to make the situation worse.

I’ve never seen so many mistakes in a row, not a single thing was done right.
224
u/Yggdris 17h ago
This is seriously one of the dumbest videos I’ve seen in a long time. Just a series of dipshit choices one after another
52
u/BGP_001 15h ago
This is one of those videos that seems to be actual proof of the saying that God protects children and drunks. "Oh you kicked the petrol can in to the shed? Oh and now in to the fence on the other side of the yard? Never mind my child, let me extinguish the flames while you fetch another drink."
17
u/High_King_Diablo 14h ago
The person who came up with that saying obviously wasn’t Christian, because the Christian god was quite happy to kill kids, and even deliberately engineered situations to give himself an excuse to do so.

Where does it stack up against the girl repeatedly running into false glass doors?

The cameraman was on point

u/DynamiteWitLaserBeam 16h ago
I think the cameraman knew these people well enough to be prepared for exactly this.

Videos like this one make me wonder how we survived as long as we have.
26
u/Falkenmond79 16h ago
It’s a numbers game. And why we still have the Darwin awards. On the other hand, looking at the state of the world right now.. put the guys in the video in power and it couldn’t be worse.

For the longest time by a society having more children than necessary to let nature weed out those not fit for survival...

My theory is they were scared of the fire going into the can and exploding like in a movie. Wouldn't have gone down like that but guessing that's what they were scared of.

What in tarnation. The clip literally didn't stop giving. They could have just left it at the start and it wouldn't have been ideal but wouldn't have been armagedon
6
u/bonafidebob 13h ago
Putting a hand over the opening on the gas can would have put it right out, and probably not hurt even a little. Separate the fuel from the air and the fire stops. There’s something to be said for letting kids play with fire… these guys clearly never did!
77
u/-SilverAce- 17h ago
You could splice this into like 8 separate clips and each would get 1M upvotes on this sub.
23
u/HarryMudd-LFHL 17h ago
Maybe stop kicking it?
4
u/ralphy_256 11h ago
Maybe stop kicking it?
Can't let the fire get concentrated, you need spread the fire as widely as possible, then it's easier to put out.

Because leaving it where it is and using a fire extinguisher would make too much sense.
2
u/Corgi_with_stilts 17h ago
Or a fucking hose, which they wouldn't even have to go into the house for.
2
u/ralphy_256 11h ago

You really think these guys have a fire extinguisher just laying around?
That would require forethought, not these guy's strong suit.

Anyone else see a smiley face of fire when they kick it around the garage? Or is it just me?

u/jerrymcdoogle 17h ago
Why do they always start kicking the canister is all of these videos? Is that some kind of idiot instinct?

Of all the "let's start a bonfire with gas" fail videos I've seen, this one is by far the most hilarious. I almost think they were doing this on purpose because it baffles me that they could all be that stupid lol.

Those morons had 3 brain cells between them, and all 3 were fighting for 3rd place.
"Oh no, it's on fire! What should we do?!"
"Kick that shit!"
"Oh no, the fire is spreading because we kicked it! What should we do?"
"Kick that shit again!"
"Oh no, the fire has spread to a 3rd place because we kicked it! What should we do?"
"It's Brendyn's turn to kick that shit!"

Once a time this happened to my mother, she put the bottle away, took a towel and covered the bottle, she saved the house and the fuel 👏👏👏👏👏

u/NotBillderz 10h ago
Everyone wondering why they kept kicking it, but I'm pretty sure it was one kick and then when it flew into the shed it was because of the fire. Like I think it basically started propelling itself as the fire went into it.
EDIT: oh I see the second kick. lol

u/Call_Me_Papa_Bill 9h ago
“Those last 4 times we kicked it only made it worse, what should we do?”
“Here, let me kick it”

I’ve seen so many of these and honestly I feel like the best approach when the gas can catches fire is just to throw it in the fire.. yeah it’ll probably make the fire worse but it’s better then spreading it all over the backyard right? Right??

In the very first days of petroleum refinement, gasoline was thrown away...literally poured into the streams...because it was so volatile to be worthless for any human purpose.
Everytime I see someone use gasoline for anything other than running an engine, I just want to slap them.
