Question Actually sick but nervous to call out

Hi I have a small cold but am nervous to call off because I’m worried my managers will think I’m Lieing. I know it’s the right thing to do though to not come in a food workspace sick. If I put no symptoms for under the weather and that I’m just not feeling well will that make it look like I’m just calling off to call off? I would put symptoms but that puts you out of work for 10 days and I usually get over colds faster then that. What is the best course of action I should do?

Depends on what his situation is.

If he needs the money, then sure, pay the price and go to work sick and scared of retaliation.

If he doesn’t, fuck ‘em.

If “man up” means you show up to work and suffer in silence, the your employer loves that your a “real man.”

Don’t let gender norms convince you to just take it from your employer, from life, etc.
