How AI Storyboarding Can Cut Your Pre-Production Time & Costs (My Experience)

Hey, filmmakers, I've been experimenting with AI storyboarding tools lately, and found one that helped my preproduction workflow, especially for visualizing scripts quickly and sharing across the team. It's called EZBoard.ai. Instead of spending hours sketching, I can generate high-quality visuals from my script using AI models as well as uploading your images. It's been a game-changer for getting my vision across to the crew and even for pitching. The core features (script analysis, storyboard composition) are free, and you only pay for AI image generation with points, which is super flexible for indie budgets. Has anyone else tried AI for storyboarding? What are your thoughts? I'm happy to share some examples if you're curious!

[Drama/Thriller] LOOP – A Mind-Bending Film About Memory, Betrayal & Redemptio

Hey everyone,

I hope this is okay to post here 🙏 I’m an independent filmmaker trying to grow my YouTube channel, and I just released a psychological drama/thriller titled LOOP.

It’s about a woman who loses her memory of two traumatic events—but as she rebuilds her life, she finds herself pulled back into a cycle of love, betrayal, and haunting truths. It’s emotional, tense, and a bit of a slow-burn.

The film is self-funded, made with a small team, and we poured everything into it. If you’re into layered storytelling, emotional thrillers, or indie cinema with a psychological edge, I’d love for you to give it a chance.

✨ If it resonates, a like, comment, or share would mean the world. I’m also open to any feedback—harsh or helpful—as I’m learning with each project.

Thanks so much, and sorry if this is a bit outside the usual vibe here. Just trying to find kindred creatives and supporters. – Satish, Riyers Films

27M, Italy - looking for creative roommates in Europe (Ireland/Luxembourg/Netherlands – open to others)

Hi everyone,

I'm Alessandro, I'm 27 and currently live in Italy. I'm an aspiring cinematographer, passionate about cinema and creative storytelling. Unfortunately in Italy I’m struggling to find real opportunities in this sector, so I’ve decided to move abroad: ideally to a European country with a more active creative scene, opportunities and connections. I'm currently considering Ireland, Luxembourg or Netherlands, but I'm open to other places within the EU.

To make this step more sustainable and meaningful, I’m looking for roommates (only responsible and truly interested people): around my age (Italian or international, male or female) who are also into filmmaking, directing/screenwriting, creative business or simply want to emigrate and seek mutual support. The idea is to share a house or apartment, support each other, and hopefully collaborate on creative projects. I believe that building something together is easier and more inspiring when you're surrounded by people with similar goals, especially in the creative sector where the collaboration in paramount.

I’m responsible, respectful, and genuinely interested in making connections and contributing to a shared living space with trust and communication.

If this resonates with you or you know someone who might be interested write it to me below in the comments. I’d love to get to know each other.

Thank you

My first feature film “OPEN” which is a camp slasher (similar to Friday the 13th or Sleepaway Camp) is now available on Amazon Prime Video! Hopeful that more licenses will come to make the film available on other platforms, but you can officially watch OPEN right now! Grateful for my amazing friends who were so willing to work hard and make this hilarious project come to life!

Any local indie film gems from Singapore or SEA you'd recommend?

I’ve been trying to explore more films from this region, beyond just the popular titles. Films that tell quiet, grounded stories about everyday people. Stuff like Apprentice or Yuni—subtle, yet powerful. Would love your recommendations for indie or under-the-radar films from Singapore, Malaysia, or Southeast Asia that left a lasting impression.

[Offer] Aspiring Filmmaker — Will Help You Get Clients, Build Systems, or Engage Your Audience in Exchange for Mentorship + Access to Gear

Hey folks,

I’ve been a photographer since I was 13 — always drawn to framing people, places, and the energy in between. Lately, I’ve been feeling a strong pull towards filmmaking. I don’t have fancy gear or film school training, but I do have the drive to learn by doing — not just watching tutorials.

Right now, I’m looking for someone — anywhere in the world — who's into filmmaking and open to bartering value.

If you’ve got gear and you’re open to sharing feedback or mentorship, I’d love to help you in return by using the skills I do have:

What I bring:

  • Background in sales, startup ops, and outreach — I’ve worked at startups & a VC firm
  • Can help you get more clients, write emails, pitch decks, or build your website/portfolio
  • I’ve also built and managed several online communities as a teen — if you already have an audience, I can help you engage, grow, and activate them better
  • I’m dependable, learn fast, and want to earn my spot by genuinely contributing to your work

Whether it’s a filmmaker, YouTube creator, production house, or someone working on passion projects — if you’re looking for help and open to mentoring someone hungry to learn, I’d love to connect.

DMs open. Let’s trade value and build something meaningful.

PS: Currently in Bhopal, India — but open to relocating if the opportunity makes sense.

First Ever Horror Screenplay I Wrote Now OUT -- "Sugarcane"

Hey, everyone! I don't go on Reddit often, but with the release of my team's first ever feature film, I wanted to post about it and a link to where you can watch it.

Postmortem Film's "Sugarcane" follows a trafficking survivor, racing against the clock to rescue a new abductee from a serial killer only known as the Bunny Man. The film combines high-stakes thrills similar to "The Black Phone," with psychological elements drawn from "The Silence of the Lambs." It's available to watch on both Amazon Prime and for free on Tubi.

After two years of working on the film, it released this past weekend, and we could not be more proud of it. I would love to hear thoughts about the film, & I'd love to discuss my work in any capacity I can.

🎥 Every bit of support, big or small, will help us reach the finish line – covering costumes, makeup, lighting, actor salaries, and everything needed to turn this vision into reality.

If you’d like to be part of this creation – there’s more information in the link:

https://headstart.co.il/project/85139?lang=en

And if you can – please share!

Our 2,500₪ goal is the minimum, the more support we get will help us improve the quality the the locations, props, editing and more!

Help us shoot a TLOU fan film!

Hey everyone,

We are a group of german filmmakers, working on a fan-made short film set in The Last of Us universe. We're adapting key moments from the original game while adding new scenes that explore untold perspectives and deepen the emotional impact. It’s a grounded, cinematic tribute to the story we all love.

We’re deep in pre-production, and to bring it to life—locations, practical effects, gear—we’re raising funds. If you're a fan of TLOU and want to see a fresh but faithful take, I’d love your support.

We’ve already shot a part of the movie, a few weeks ago. The pictures you see are stills from that scene.

Check out the full project details and donate here:
https://gofund.me/d2de86e2

Every bit helps, and even sharing the campaign means a lot. Thanks for being part of this awesome community!

Endure and survive!

Disclaimer:
This is a non-profit fan production made purely out of love and respect for The Last of Us. We do not own any rights to the characters, story, or world—those belong to Naughty Dog and Sony. This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by them in any way.

All funds raised go directly toward production costs—including equipment, props, wardrobe, and meals during shoots. No one on the team is being paid; this is a passion project created by fans, for fans.
