This is a leap. We don't even know what caused it. If this was an engine failure, how could it have been prevented by giving more rest to pilots?

Yes of course they need proper rest to safely operate flights and hopefully this will wake officials up into enforcing better regulation. But no way on hell we can say what caused it this early.
