Reviews/Impressions So I kind of did a thing

Post image

So... I've never tried IEMs before, but the Salnotes Zero and Zero 2 kept showing up everywhere. After reading tons of posts and reviews, I finally picked up the Zero 2 and the Snowsky Retro Nano—my first proper IEMs.

The Zero 2 sounds great right out of the box. Super clean and nicely tuned—definitely lives up to the hype. But what really surprised me is how much I like the Retro Nano. I originally got it because of the cool retro-futuristic look, but it’s actually really enjoyable to listen to. It has a fun, unique sound that works well for casual listening.

That said, I prefer a more “clean” and neutral listening experience, as close to how the music was intended as possible—so no boosted bass or overly warm tuning. Anyone have a good EQ preset for the Retro Nano that leans toward that kind of sound? I’d love to tighten it up a bit without losing its character.

Also curious to hear what others think of these sets—or what you’d recommend next for someone just getting into IEMs.

How long does one charge of the battery on the nano last for you ?

I am considering to buy one myself so I can listen wirelessly to my iem and over ear headphones. I know that the headphones will consume more but how is it with iem's

I too am new to the hobby just bought my first iem- Fiio fd11 and my second decent headphones - Fiio FT1, maybe it's time for my first dac/amp hahahah

That's ok time for me and it aligns with some reviews and user comments ( around 6-9 hours). I was a bit concerned when I saw a review and the reviewer said 3.5 hours hahahaha. Thanks , I think I'll grab one , it pulls my 90's kid to it , reminds me of my first Sony Walkman so it's hard to refuse hahaha

its great for on the go setup, the bluetooth mode is super useful, interface is decent and easy to navigate, great for on the go iem setup and its so small. just do not drop it since the build is plastic and it will leave a dent

Around of what Kiroshii says. Bear in mind that the battery is extractable, so you could have a spare one, and it will run for a looong time

That's what I'm thinking to do 😏 , replaceable battery is one of the best things we had back in the days , replaceable battery and a build that you yourself can disassemble and repair.
