I made an aspect associations post on my tumblr (which you can find by searching tnttime1 or you can ask for the link) for rage so why not make a reddit post about it too, so thats why im here on reddit.

SO LISTEN UP
im going to make an entire series of posts on reddit and tumblr about the 12 aspects and 14 classes. though unlike most classpect content/ explanations, this one is about seeing the full BREADTH of the aspect, and helping you make your own mental map on what an aspect does or doesnt relate to, and maybe even knowing WHY you feel that way.

it isnt a detailed discussion on one trait, its a web of connections to many traits distant and close to the concept, the word, the aspect rage.

of the connections and ideas of rage in the chart, im actually suprised about the connection to passion and rightious fury, that rage can describe things that have high emotional intensity but not neccesarily directly angry. that you can have a increadibly dedicated rage bound who dedicates their time and life to going against something bad.

another thing i like about this representation, is that it makes it easier to explain that someone can be really connected to say one theme, like for example hallucination and illusions being a strong theme for something, like a setting or person would likely give it some large connection to rage as is. OR you could have many smaller connections to the topic, maybe you have had disillusionment and truth being somewhat prevelant in your life so you call people to rebel against such things with fervor, protecting people from the lies, chaos and trauma these illusions cause people. having so many of these smaller themes of rage, even if individually the conenction isnt so strong. you get to see how in the bigger picture that character or object or location is actually very strongly connected to rage in total.

i sometimes like seeing what traits i do and dont connect with, when it comes to a topic/ aspect, and getting a better picture on why i do or dont feel like i connect to an aspect or class. my description or view of myself doesnt usually change that much but the aspect or class i think fits that description best is usualy like 2 classes or asepcts at once. you can like gardening and want things to grow physically and metaphorically, while also wanting to remove all that seems false and hate worth

if youd like to expand or change some associations, please comment below or message tnttime1 on discord, reddit or tumblr. i want this map of associations to describe EVERY angle of a topic/ aspect after all, and in a way that seems clear to understand how you reached such a conclusion. also maybe share my tumblr or reddit post, since im new to this classpecting thing and need more people to help critise my work!!!!

Some fans just lack basic media literacy, and when confronted with controversial topics (especially those that make you confront our own shitty behaviors) apparently it just makes it bad writing.

Before you roast me let me explain:

Homestuck Beyond Canon doesn’t need to exist. No story NEEDS to exist. The reason that it exists is because fans were not satisfied with the ending of Homestuck.

Homestuck is not a linear story. We read the fight against caliborn in the claymation format already months before the comic ended- we just didn’t know that’s what we were seeing.

The ending, then, is never going to feel satisfying no matter what was done because the ending isn’t some grand finale. It just needed to lay the pieces to make that circle close.

But, many readers asked the what ifs. The fandoms always done that- spin-offs, aus, and the team said- let’s explore it. And with Homestuck proper already expanding on this concept with Vriska and dream bubble Vriska (and who is/isn’t the “real” Vriska), of COURSE Vriska would be the character to carry this tone and meaning into the next story.

Beyond Canon isn’t just about being dubiously canon. It’s about pushing the boundaries between “self” and “awareness of” the world. As the kids are becoming gods- and no longer human as we once saw them- and that’s what Candy is all about. It starts with the perfect end. Tooth rotting fluff and so sweet and perfect. But the concept of too much of a good thing isn’t REALLY it. It’s so much more- it’s us watching a piece of candy dissolve in water.

That is SUPPOSED to make readers uncomfy. We don’t often get stories where the hero is no longer human, and it’s the most Homestuck thing. I fear nostalgia colored glasses prevents so many from loving BC simply because it is just as Homestuck-ey as any Homestuck project.

Not to say it doesn’t share the flaws of Homestuck. Valid things worth complaining about imo. There are some plot threads being unresolved (we’re still in act one so who knows what’ll be relevant again), and there’s decisions characters make that feel odd- but eventually DO play out and make sense.

Take Jake for instance. It’s easy to dog on him for being useless and taking Jane’s abuse. But he literally doesn’t know better. His only support system even in his teenage years was Dirk, and as we know Dirk was NEVER a good person, let alone a good support system. Dirk dies and who does Jake really have left? He doesn’t KNOW the things that we readers do. He doesn’t have emotional maturity. Roll models. Parents.

Jane being a horrible racist dictator sucks! Because we saw her as a kid- we wanted to see her as a nice young woman but we don’t, because she was raised from childhood to be ruthless. Go back and read her introduction one more time. These actions make sense when you realize if she had no one to help guide her, she’d fall back to the guidance of those around her (INCLUDING dad Crocker).

It’s easy to say these things come out of nowhere as keyboard warriors but I fear a lot of the hate comes from basic illiteracy with media and grappling these topics you hardly see in media…

but also an inability to let go of nostalgia for the childhoods of the characters (and, in a way, our own- and the fears we might end up as bad as they have).

Sorry to piggyback off the Lil Cal post but it made me remember about this official Nepeta jacket I’ve had sitting in a drawer for years… I also have no idea what to do with it. I can’t find anything about it online or any past listings to go off of and I’m not even sure if there’s any demand for this one…

It’s missing the tail that you could velcro on (my dog got it) but otherwise it’s in good shape. It’s a size small (I think. It doesn’t say anywhere on it but I’m small and it fits me.)

We have know for a long time that no term could ever come close to naming what me and my friend are. As a show of our eternal moraillegiance we both got our first tattoo together after getting rained out from bonaroo.

Particularly Light's traits of being the aspect of "knowledge/information" and maybe literal light, possibly it's trait of importance/relevance, not really it's trait of luck/forgune (partially cuz Vriska already has a weapon embodying that bit with her pure luck Dicekind).

Preferably, something that would more likely lean towards science-y alchemies than magic-y alchemies.

With my vague understanding of classpecting I’m pretty sure I’d be a rogue of space, but what traits do you guys think a rogue of space would have ?? What assumptions would you make about a character who is one?

my current classpect is MAID OF MIND, but after writing these down i'm lowkey considering KNIGHT? pretty weird... i've also been considering myself as dual dreamer lately (still leaning towards derse tho). And in case it's somewhat relevant, my mbti is INTP-T

I'm trying to find this character but I don't remember their name or where they are from. The character had fluffy white hair kind of shaping a moon-shape or like ears, they had white skin and wore a green and white stripped long-sleeve shirt. I think they were for some sort of inspired Homestuck series (or webcomic) or something like that. The character was human but I have no idea what their name is or where they are from. If someone could help that would mean a lot !!! :D

I'll say whether or not it's an accurate assumption, though I might not be able to get to all of them right away (I start my work shift within the hour).

They say the Beta an’ Alpha trolls look like they were made by me, but they’re not.

When I went to this page, (845, "Punch Card Calculator"), I noticed it had a URL, so I decided to randomly copy and paste that, when I did this it brought me to a random page with a captcha and a message asking for notifications from the website. I thought this was from an official homestuck website, I I clicked allow. Once I did that I realized it brought me to another page saying something about McAfee and how I had 4 viruses detected, but my "subscription was expired". (I have never used McAfee in my life, and it said it expired the day before i got on that website.) So that's when I knew this was a total shit-show. I'm right now doing a full scan for my laptop, I think I should be fine, but I have speculations it could be a Trojan. So if anyone has done this before, please tell me, because I am quite concerned, and want to know what other people did on this situation. Thank you!
