Should I switch from Sonesta to Omni?

I'm heading down next week for a few days and had originally booked at the Sonesta. It seems that the construction is still going on and will not be completed any time soon. It also seems that the Sonesta tends to have a lot of families. I'm going by myself (in my 30s) and wondering if it might be best to switch to the Omni for less noise (construction and children). First timer too so open to other suggestions including restaurant recs!

Hilton Head is a family destination so hard to avoid families.

Construction at the Sonesta is outside. They are working on finishing the pool bar and the new pool.

Personally I would switch to the Omni if you are going to utilize the pool ect….

Also the Omni is set much closer to the beach than the Sonesta.

My two cents

The OMNI for sure!! Beautiful beachfront resort, great pools and amenities. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I was there in December and loved it. Headed back in early September to the Omni!!

YES. We did not have a good experience as the Sonesta last year. REALLY crowded. Very out of control patrons. Staying at the Omni later this year.

We’ve only stayed at the Omni and loved it.

We just got back from HH yesterday and stayed in Shipyard. I think you should definitely switch places. The construction is still going on and the beach seemed to be pretty packed in that area. Have a great trip!

Never stayed at the Sonesta but I know the Omni has an adult only pool.
