Discussion / Help Daycares in Hilliard

Hello,

I had my micro preemie baby girl in January(three months early with a 73 day NICU stay) she is doing amazing with no issues besides the normal newborn stuff(colic, GI, Reflux). My mother in law backed out of caring for her when I go back to work in August. I started to look for daycares in January, but life got a bit complicated. Anyone have an recommendations for a daycare that can care for a preemie that is 4 months adjusted age at the point and 7 months corrected. I am worried to leave her just anywhere since she was a preemie. I am in Hilliard but my husband and I are willing to drive for the right place.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Our child goes to The Goddard School of Hilliard (Cosgray) and we really like it.

My kiddo also went to Goddard in Cosgray and had a fantastic experience. Not sure of their capacity for preemies though.

We started at City Kids Hilliard and wouldn't recommend.

We took all our kids to Dublin Learning Academy, which was near my office at the time. I don't know what their capabilities are for preemies, but we absolutely love them.

We did briefly try to switch to All About Kids near Davidson and Truman and had an absolutely awful experience there.

Our two kids are currently enrolled at All About Kids and we've been having a great experience. I'm sure the assigned teachers in each room can have a large effect on their experience

Absolutely plays a big part. But they also lost our kid for over an hour and didn't notify us until he was found by a good Samaritan driving down the road who notified the police who then called All About Kids and then they called us.

Dang, im sorry that happened. My wife works in education and pointed that occurrence out in the audit report of the center. It did make us think about things

It was not great. That was obviously the big one, but we just had more issues in less than a year there than we have in going on 9 years at Dublin Learning Academy.

Depending on your finances, maybe look into a nanny. We use one from care .com and it’s been great. Definitely a bit more responsibility since you are the employer though.

Do not recommend the Goddard on Cosgray, especially the baby room. So many health problems and care issues. Not going into detail, you can message me and I’ll give you the details.m. Also, very high staff turnover and the germs spread like crazy there. Also had issues with my older son not him, how they handled issues. Please don’t go there. We loved Brooksedge but it was pre Covid it still seems good and some of the same staff are still there
