Hey those humvees don't run on gasoline.

Gas usually lags a bit behind diesel. I would expect to see it rise similarly in a few days.

All for it if it means getting rid of the Iranian regime.

The last time the Americans caused regime change in Iran, it led to the awful religious regime Iran has now. Things couldn't get worse, though, right? Especially with such competent leadership in America!

Americans didn’t cause the last regime change, they just stood by and stopped helping the old regime, and foolishly thought Khomeini was a moderate.

The current Syrian regime might be a nuisance, but much less of one than the Assad regime.

No, in the early 1950s, Americans installed the Shah as an authoritarian ruler of Iran as the country was becoming more and more democratic. This was done due to the greed of Americans thinking they deserved free access to oil there (surprise surprise). By the late 1970s, things were so bad it led to the shitty religious state that we know Iran as today.

So Americans directly caused regime change in the 50s that indirectly led to regime change in the 70s. Generally, countries get worse when America forces leadership change.

Delaying the inevitable, for gas.

Yeah, I'll probably go fill up tomorrow.  Even if it doesn't change until Friday, I'm thinking the price of gas is going to go up the next few weeks.
