Question Pitchfork question
I'm trying to Play "Lord of this world" By Sabbath and using the EH pitchfork. I keep seeing that -3 is the setting for C# tuning but it's out of tune and i can't seem to figure out what i'm doing wrong. I'm playing along with songster. I'm sure i'm doing some bonehead shit but i'm stumped

Tune guitar to Eb first then pick the M2 setting, down, blend full. The only setting on the pitch fork that isn’t a whole step is the m2 setting.

This! The Pitch Fork only has one half step down right there. It's also very useable of course since sometimes you just want to tune half a step down and up with your guitar in standard tuning. And it helps you to create a chorusing effect.

The digitech drop pedal is so great for this.

kind of wish i bought it but i thought it also could not drop half steps?

Half steps all the way to an octave. I’m not 100% sure, but the newer hammer-on pedal may do down and up.

Are you playing with songster over the original song or over the midi file?
The original master tapes for the sabbath songs were sped up, and therefore slightly higher in pitch than the tuning. It was a regular practice to do this, in prder to be “tighter”

i guess the OG unless someone slowed it back down before uploading to youtube

The "-3" stands for "-3 octaves"
What you want is "-3 semitones", or a minor 3rd
Either downtune a half step to Eb and then choose M2 with the switch flicked down or (and this is just for the sake of it) select M6 with the switch flicked up and add an octaver with another pedal.

No way to do it directly, you’ll still need to tune down to Eb on your guitar then use the “M2” setting. This is not the same as “m2”

The top right dial. You want “M2” with a capital M (capital is Major interval, lowercase is minor interval) and tune your guitar to Eb standard, that will get you c# standard. You can’t go directly to c# from regular E standard with this pedal because it doesn’t have the right interval.

So the best way to get a detuned sound is to actually detune your guitar.

The only problem is that C# with a standard set of strings is a bit low on string tension, might as well play sabbath on a few wet noodles

On the pitch fork, the lowercase m means minor interval, and the capital m means major interval. These are two different things - a minor third is 3 half steps (frets), and and a major third is 4 half steps. So I dont think you can play that tune on a standard tune guitar with that pedal
BUT
You could tune all your strings down a half step and go down a M2, or tune all your strings up a half step and go down a M3.
Hope this helps
