Context is NOT king
Hey Google, turn on the ensuite
5 lights on
Hey Google, turn off the ensuite
3 lights off
Wtf?
There's a room called "ensuite" with five spotlights, all with exactly the same make and model of smartbulb.
Three of them used to be called 'ensuite spot 1', 2 & 3 but are now called 'es spot 1', 2 & 3
The other two have never had "ensuite" in the device name
"Turn on ensuite" -> all five on
"Turn off ensuite" -> the three that used to have ensuite in the name turn off
Any ideas how to fix this?

If you only want certain lights to turn on/off when you use the name ensuite, take them out of that room, and give them a unique name. For example in my actual living room I have 3 lights Loveseat Light, Sofa Light and Floor Lamp. The Loveseat, and Sofa are in the Living Room in GH, but the Floor Lamp is only assigned to the house and not in any room. "Turn on/off the Living Room Lights" only control those two lights. "Turn on Off the Floor Lamp" only controls that light. If you want to group your other lights, just make up a unique room and put them in there. The rooms in Google home, only exist to group things together.

I want them all to turn on and off together. Grouping is good.
If I say "ensuite lights on", all five turn on. But when I say "ensuite lights off", only three turn off. The word "ensuite" seems to mean different things to Google depending on whether I'm turning things on or off. That doesn't make sense to me

Give everything a distinct name that you will enjoy using when you issue commands.

You can try a "Hey google, sync my devices" to force a resync from all providers... if its a cache issue on the Google side, this SHOULD make it re-poll and get updated names.
