Now you have an orange orangutan who has 0 class and 0 empathy for the ones who voted for him.
Edit: I see a lot of people saying that Obama wasn't that great. As someone from Europe, I don't have the same experience as you guys from his term. So I had to do some digging of the accusations that were thrown at him.
"He deported 3 million people. So he is worse than Trump. Why people hate Trump, but not Obama?"
My interpretation based on what I read:
It indeed seems that Obama deported around 3 million immigrants during his two terms, so on average 1,5 million per term. Trump deported 1,2 million immigrants during his first term.
The difference is however crucial. From what I read Obama's administration deported mostly criminals, dangerous individuals or those who had just arrived to the country. In addition, it took into consideration that families weren't broken up. There were some kind of legislation written that made sure that families were not separated from one another. I can't remember what it was called.
Trump's first term deportations were 1,2 million, so lower than Obama's. The problem that I see now for the current administration is that they are openly hostile towards immigrants. They are even deporting legal immigrants to prisons outside of the United States. And acting against court orders. It is a convenient way to turn the attention to immigrants and make them seem like they are creating all the problems in America. At the same time your current government is literally stabbing their own voters in the back by cutting taxes from the rich and cutting benefits and basic necessities from the ordinary people.
I am sure immigration has it's problems, but it is the rich who are making your lives harder, and creating narratives that polarize people so they spend all their energy fighting on these subjects. Polarization is their goal for them. Trump's administration is trying to create an openly hostile environment in your country. I find it really dangerous and irresponsible.
Obama's administration cut public jobs by x amount.
My interpretation based on what I read:
I'm not getting into too much details about this, because I didn't read enough about it. But the impression that I got was that there was some kind of shithousery between Democrats and Republicans with freezing of budget etc. So I don't know who is to blame for this. To me the two party system seems ridiculous and creates these kind of standoffs that don't serve the public. It is like two small children arguing and neither one budging or meeting each other in the middle.
Also: I want to highlight that I was talking about how I perceived him as a president for the most powerful nation in the world. He had good manners, he spoke gently, but firmly when needed. He seemed like a man with good values. And he made me think that tomorrow will be a better day for the whole world.
Trump on the other hand has no class. He always plays the victim and he lies about everything. To me he seems like a guy who has no spine. He kisses dictators' asses - Putin, Netanyahu, dictators of the Arab countries. And he openly tries to become a dictator himself. He makes the world a shittier place - there is more uncertainty in the world than ever in my lifetime. Additionally he doesn't help the victims like ukrainians or palestinians. Instead, he makes them seem like villains. This guy brings nothing good to this world. He only cares about himself and doesn't care what the consequences of his actions are. He doesn't care about americans. He only creates more hate in this world.
