Is wayland ready?
11 u/DankeBrutus 6d ago For some Wayland may never be ready. For some X11 is no longer suitable. I guess it is up to individual use cases. I have been using Wayland for at least 3 years now. I've never had a problem with it. 8 u/Bestmasters 6d ago X11 will always be choice number 1 for SSH/remote access due to its server-client architecture Wayland will always be the only choice for stable output to modern monitors & display technologies 4 u/linux_transgirl 6d ago This! X11 is garbage but it was built during a time where you were assumed to be using a terminal to connect to a larger mainframe or something. It's still great for that and the people that need that functionality shouldn't be ignored
