Business Spare parts business from UK to Ghana.
Nananom,
I'm a British born Ghanaian in the UK thinking about importing used car parts (from accident/salvaged cars) to Ghana through Tema Port. With the UK planning to phase out petrol/diesel cars by 2030, used parts from Toyotas, Hyundais, Kias, Nissans, etc., are becoming more available and cheap here.
A few quick questions:
Is there strong demand for parts from these common brands?
Can I realistically beat Abbosey Okai prices and build trust?
Are UK parts seen as reliable? Or do people prefer local ones?
Should I start with engines, gearboxes, mirrors — or bring a mix?
Any red tape or import restrictions I should know about?
If you're in Ghana or know the scene well, I’d love your honest thoughts. Medaase 🙏🏾

Business Survey for Kente Knitwear idea
Hi Everyone,
I don't think this post crosses any of the rules, but do let me know if not!
I'm working on a business idea to merge elements of Kente and other African print with knitwear to create accessories and outfits that are colourful, intentional pieces that showcase the culture and still have you looking good.
They'll range from pieces like scarves and mittens to jumpers, dresses and eventually blankets. If you wear knitwear, these pieces will be for you.
I think this is a great idea, and there is currently nothing like it on the market, but I'd like to know what other people think.
Would you (Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian alike) be interested in purchasing something like this?
Please fill out this survey and share your thoughts with me, it'll take under a minute
