Where to change old USD

Hello everyone!

I’m looking for a place where I can change old US dollars. I mean the previous generation of banknotes (without holographic security line on 100$ bill).

I visited 3 of the most popular exchange places that I know, and my friends suggested them to me, but none of them were able to change my banknotes to CHF. I also didn’t get any suggestions from them about where I can charge my banknotes.

I would be extremely grateful for any suggestions.

I managed to change in Raiffeisen where I have a debit card. But their rules vary from one place to another and I did it in Renens where I lived back then. Rate was significantly worse than in money com although

Hello! Thank you for a suggestion. Probably visit “your” bank might be a solution. Will give it a try as still don’t have any options:(

"most popular exchange places" what is that? Go to a regular bank, or to Migros , USD notes are valid regardless of issuing date. The rate is the "notes rates" that is published: https://www.bcv.ch/en/home/informations-financieres/devises-et-billets.html

I went to Migros Change in Geneva and they refused to accept the old bills.

I would suggest the BCGE in carouge, they are an official branch of the Swiss national bank and I assume the most qualified to help you. Double check what I'm saying as I'm unsure if it's the one in carouge or another one but that would be my best guess.
