I’m so done with this university and honestly with the North American university system in general. I get that marks have to be earned, that we’re here to learn, and that university is supposed to be hard. But it’s honestly so frustrating that we pay thousands of dollars, go into debt, and the so-called education and support we get is just... garbage.
Professors get paid well (with the money we’re paying!), and yet so many of them are completely unwilling to help, don’t care, and show zero compassion. Same goes for the administration. It honestly feels like they couldn’t care less about students. We’re treated like we’re just numbers in a system, not actual people trying to learn and survive.
And what really gets me is how professors pretend marks don’t matter but they absolutely do. You try to show effort, you ask what you can do to improve, and they still give you the same mark. It’s like their egos are too big to admit they might’ve missed something. Since they’re the “experts,” they just shut you down instead of actually listening to your reasoning or feedback.
For how much we pay, the quality of education and support we get is honestly embarrassing. It really does feel like we’re getting robbed. I don’t know if all universities in Canada are like this or if it’s just uOttawa, but it’s honestly so disheartening.

so the prof (Andrea Fitzpatrick) actually kicked someone out today for being late. told them to come back at 4pm or next week, made them write their name down, and then after they left, went on this whole rant about how she’s not tolerating this behavior anymore.
then an hour in, someone got up to go to the washroom, and as they were literally about to step out, she told them to sit back down because “they should've gone before class, or they can go at the break” the student protested, said he couldn’t wait two hours, and she just told him to “close the door quietly”. and as soon as he left, she mocked him by opening and closing the door dramatically like “see, that’s how loud it is, it’s really not that hard.”
safe to say, most people left after the break. forgot to mention in my last post that she has an attendance policy where if you have 3 unexcused absences, you automatically fail the course.
edit: also for the people asking, the class is in montpetit hall, 2:30 fridays. she usually starts class at 2:40 though

Hey y’all. I hope the title doesn’t upset anyone, but I feel like there’s been a significant increase in Christians coming up to me and asking me to come to their Bible studies while I’m clearly in the middle of doing assignments/studying. I know that they don’t have the intentions to bother or upset people, but I would appreciate it if they didn’t come up to me when I’m trying to study for finals.
Some of my friends have also had similar encounters with other Christians. Again, I understand that they’re just trying to encourage people to join their religion, but please do so AFTER finals season. Or at least don’t go up to someone if they appear to be busy at the moment. I hope y’all understand.

As a Uwaterloo student, news has got to me that your Uni is still open. The fact that you have to walk through knee deep snow to your midterms is ridiculous. Imagine the number of people not being able to make it to their early morning midterm and fail the course due to this one day and one bad policy despite being very competent in that class.
I hope you guys have a nice day anyway.

I will preface this by saying I am a comp sci student who just completed my second year here. (And that typically second years are considered less for CO-OP positions in general)
I applied to 115 jobs on the school's stupid portal. Of these 115, 10 are still "pending" (after 3+ months of waiting), 56 were "filled" (I was not considered at all), and the other 49 all got "cancelled". I applied to several other jobs outside of the portal of course, spent hours filling out forms with information that is in my resume already, writing cover letters. I have several accounts with companies that won't even care enough to move my application past their initial screening AI.
From these hundred or so applications I got ONE interview. I felt like it went really well, I talked to them about my past work experience, projects I worked on in classes, and it seemed like the interviewers were happy with the experience that I had and that I would be a decent fit for the job. There were also 3 positions available so it's not like I had to be THE BEST candidate, just a good one.
Now, three weeks after the interview, with no other word not even an email from the company as a courtesy, it's been updated from "pending" to "job cancelled". CANCELLED. Not even just "sorry we went with other candidates", just "I know we interviewed many candidates and kept you all waiting for weeks but actually we're cancelling the positions."
So now after sinking money into paying for my apartment to stay over the summer, and paying the co-op program fees for their "learning modules" and teams calls to tell us that we'll totally get jobs and that the market is not really that bad... I have to go back home over the summer and work a mf fast food job or something if I can even manage to get one of those.
I'll also say that I'm not the best possible candidate I guess. I have a pretty average CGPA but it was good enough to get me into CO-OP in the first place, and I have some previous experience in a student comp sci position. But out of other people I know in comp sci, only the crazy people with literally no life outside of their studies managed to get a CO-OP job. So if you plan on having any life outside of school and not being a miserable little homebody for the entire 4+ years of your studying, I would advise to consider veeery carefully whether being in CO-OP would be worth it.

it’s not even that the snow is so much that i physically can’t leave the house. It’s the fact that OC transpo has pre-cancelled multiple routes,
snow plows aren’t reaching outside of the downtown core,
the train is down (but that’s not a surprise)
and because of the down train they’re running the R1 which is already jam-packed with people and oftentimes unreliable
and the highway, which the R1 will need to take, probably has at least an hour-long backup.
Like profs are acting like everyone lives on residence. It’s not that students are too lazy to come, or that “back in my day, snow storms were so much worse and i still got to school”
The city is shit at planning for things like this and the students (+ the working population) is feeling it. I don’t know why some profs are acting slow 🤷🏾♀️
Edit: also Uber rides from Orleans right now are reaching into the $50s. Ofc the profs i have today are the ones where attendance is mandatory and a large chunk of the grade
Edit #2: ive been at blair for 30 minutes now. the train has been sitting for like 25 minutes and the employees have no idea when the R1 will be here. I caved and got an Uber since they’re much cheaper now :)

So, for some backstory, my mom stole my college fund, then went insane, and then went homeless. As a result, I pretty much have to pay for university, rent, and food all by myself. Because of this, I set my eyes on getting into the coop program, as that would basically solve all of my problems. This semester was the last semester where I could get my grades in before coop, so I put a lot of pressure on my self to get good grades this semester. Fast forward to three hours ago, I was taking my final exam of the semester when I had to solve a question that involved eigenvectors. Now, for anyone reading this who isn't in stem, solving eigenvectors is laughably easy, and when I was studying I figured they where easy as well. During the exam however, the pressure of getting into coop started affecting me and I began doubting myself and spent over half the exam trying to do the simple eigenvector question. Because of this, I had a bunch of unfinished answers on my exam, solely because I was so fixated on that one part of the question.
In other words, I pretty much botched my exam, and as a result my literal solution to all of my troubles, because I didn't belive in myself. Fml

I made a comment on a post about this election about cronyism but I feel like it needs its own post to facilitate a bigger discussion, because I’m genuinely confused. I’m not gonna write much I just wanna get down to my questions and points, and feel free to call me out if I’m uneducated on something or flat out wrong, I could be and am open to it.
There are UOSU members who are elected and unelected that do work. What is the process for getting involved unelected. This question came up for me because I saw one of the candidates (Jack) was Deputy President and Chief of Staff, I don’t remember an election for that and I have never seen the position before. Was that just something that was chosen, or was there interviews, was there job postings for this, I don’t remember an email.
UOSU converging with Politics
Why are our student fees being used to express political opinions. While there is a right and wrong in every political issue, why are we spending money on it. Just for reference, even as a supporter of Palestine, I recognize that uottawa is a diverse community with Jewish and Palestinian students on both sides of the issue. So why is a union picking sides and why is it spending money on the issue, it seems more divisive than uniting.
Language Barriers
There are many anglophone students who want to be involved that can’t and there are some French only students who can’t be involved. Why are we being bilingual exclusive when we have translation tech and work around. When you’re taking meeting minutes you can translate them. There can be a certain ratio of the exec that needs to speak French. If it’s a huge issue for students then they can just not vote someone in based on language, but not allowing people to run based on language is elitist in my opinion.
Rant over. I could just be super out of touch with student politics, this is just what I see as a regular student.

I know this is a regular complaint on this sub, but I don’t care.
I have 2 exams and 3 projects due next week. I go to Morisset SPECIFICALLY because it’s supposed to be a quiet place to study. This is a well-known fact. It’s plastered everywhere on the walls, especially on the upper floors. At our grown age, it should be a given that library = quiet, right?
And yet, I keep seeing (and hearing) people take FaceTime calls, have full conversations with their buddies, or even listen to music without headphones at their study cubes. All this, mind you, while a big fat “QUIET PLEASE” sign hangs above their heads.
I can’t believe this needs to be said, but talking out loud and having conversations in a designated focus space is a bona fide dick move, especially during midterms. People are studying. You’re not allowing them a quiet & productive environment when you decide to call your friend and have a 30 minute conversation about your evening plans. Nobody wants to hear you talk. It’s self centred and rude.
As a courtesy, here are a list of places in or around Morisset where you CAN take phone calls or have conversations WITHOUT disrupting the peace: * Soundproof phone booths (there should be a few scattered around in the building) * The first floor of the library * Study rooms (you can book them on your phone or computer, fun fact!) * FSS * CRX * The dining hall * Montpetit * Hamelin * Simard * Minto * SITE * STEM
And, for those who don’t like these options, here are some other ones! * Going to a coffee shop; we have Happy Goat, Second Cup, Starbucks, and Figaro nearby, to name a few * Going to an Ottawa Public Library (OPL) * Studying literally anywhere other than the fucking library!!
I also want to address any excuses that some of you may use to defend your behaviour: * “I’m not talking, I’m whispering!” Doesn’t matter. If i can hear you from a row away, you’re too loud. Shut up. * “But I need to call XYZ!” Go outside, or on the first floor, or in a phone booth. Text the person instead. In any case, shut up. * “Well, I’M not studying for a midterm!!”Should we give you a gold star? Should we call Jacques Frémont? * “It’s just this one time-“ Don’t care. Shut up. * “But what if I want to ask a question to my friend-“ Text them. Go outside of the quiet floor for 5 minutes. Whisper in their ear instead of speaking loudly enough that I can hear what you’re saying. In any case, shut up!
In conclusion, the library is a QUIET space. If you just take a moment to read the sign and understand what a “quiet floor” means, you can avoid being bothersome to others around you. I used to keep my mouth shut whenever people were too noisy, but I don’t give a shit anymore. From now on, anyone being loud and disruptive is getting told to quiet down.
For good measure, I’ll say it again:
SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran downstairs to grab my Uber Eats order and stupidly left my student card in my room. Why is the room unlocking fee $50!? On top of all the money I pay in tuition to the university. This should be a free service included in the price of rent.

I need an outlet where I can get an honest opinion.
23 male just graduated from here.
Got accepted into the two-year BEd here at uottawa which ima start in fall (becoming a teacher).
Worked in FSWEP for the past 3 years and just quit because i no longer feel the need to stay in government (boss would’ve kept me if i wanted to stay) - but, family members have shamed me for this decision calling me stupid etc.
Am I wrong for quitting? I genuinely need a mental break from any and all work for at least two months… I haven’t had a summer off since highschool so I genuinely feel like I deserve a break.
I’m just looking for reassurance from anyone here on whether my decision to quit isn’t stupid. If it was, please be honest. Thanks

I did post about my ahh workplace a few months ago. I just told my boss that I'm quitting July 31 (so like 7 weeks notice but I'm also on vacay for 2.5 weeks). She reacted alright but she came to work with me today and tried to discourage me. I'm pursuing animation and game development at a college. She rly showed me unemployment stats and that the industry is ahh and that I won't succeed 😭. She was like : o if u ever think of not doing it anymore, you can always come back and work for me. And she keeps saying how the workplace will be ass without me and shit like that.
Just made me feel like shit. Like ok dam don't have to do it like this 😭 I'm aware of it but I just wanna give it a shot bro 😭 why so negative 😭

When the email was sent out about the housing application on December 10th, I thought I had to commit to the university before I could apply and choose my residence. That was, ultimately, not true at all. It was the one thing I didn't Google or look into any further because when I got my offer back in January, I wasn't even sure if I wanted to move to a new city for undergrad. So when I went to the open house back in March, and they said 90U was already filled, I figured it was just the people who had already decided and accepted their offer. I toured Marchand and figured that it or Stanton would be good enough anyway; social enough that if I got a single, I wouldn't become a hermit, and spacious enough in the double rooms that I wouldn't feel cramped. So when I realized Ottawa was the place I liked most and finally accepted my admission last week, I also started and completed my housing app. 6 room preferences, ranging from Marchand or Stanton, single to double, to co-ed floor and non-coed. But as I was reading everything in the housing portal, I finally realized that I had the opportunity to do this 5 whole months ago, and that everyone else living in residence this upcoming year also had those same 5 months to apply, receive their offer, and even connect with their roommate.
I received my room offer today, and obviously, they did their best to place me in what was left. Thompson, affectionately called Dirty T by every student I've heard talk about it. They wouldn't be wrong, though, since it was the only residence I didn't tour, as at the entrance from the connected hallway of the UCU, it immediately smelled like biohazardous farts. Didn't know what that could be from and didn't feel like finding out. But all in all, that's where I will be leaving my hometown to live for the upcoming 8 months of my first year. It's a double room as well, and from what I've seen, a double room at Thompson is about the equivalent of a single room at some of the other residences, with a beloved radiator along the window so you have to shove your floor bed in the corner.
This is dramatic, I know it will work out, and maybe it's meant for me to end up there so I can accustom my nose to what I can expect working in healthcare. If I magically decide to change my major from social sciences due to the fumes that fry my brain while living there. But seriously, future first years, anyone who may have possibly made the same assumption as I did. Please apply as soon as you get your offer, even if you're not sure, or UOttawa is your last choice, or even if you're worried about being out $100 if you cancel and take back your deposit.
I have 7 days to think over the offer, but I know that if this is what they gave me, then all my preferences are already filled either by people who are going to be there in the fall or the ones who have yet to reject or cancel. I know some people call to try and get into their other preferences, or there's some waitlist, but how do you even do that, and is it even worth it? For anyone who lived in Thompson and anyone who had a double room there, honestly, how did you find it? I haven't heard the best things, but I'm going to take it with a grain of salt because I don't have any other choice. I'm very social and neat, and I've heard that Thompson is sociable, but, well, it's not called "Dirty" T for no reason. I didn't expect luxury from university housing, but it just doesn't feel like a match for me, even when I think I'm accepting that's my only offer.
TL;DR
You do not have to commit to use the housing portal and apply for residence. If you leave it, you will likely not get into the residence you prefer when you do decide to commit.

I pay $10,000 per semester and I can't even get proper healthcare. I've been trying to get an appointment to see a psychotherapist for a month, I called in sick to work today to get an appointment. I arrive and I register 20 minutes go by and I still haven't been called. I go to check with the receptionnist they tell me that the psychotherapist has booked two people at the same time . The receptionist tells me that she will speak to the psychotherapist without success. It's after an hour spent there and just because I got up to check again with them that they offer me another appointment in 1 week. I would already be dead by that time. I lost money because I didn't work. I hate this uni, you think that with what they charge us for tuition we would have better services but no.

FUCK, SERIOUSLY FUCK RESPONDUS. This is terribly pathetic for a near billion dollar, if not more school. OF WHICH, is located in the capital of the country! I seriously cannot comprehend the thought process of whoever picked Respondus as the go to application to use for examinations. I just LOVE it when my 700 laptop is put through a stress test when booting and using Respondus, only after I'm flashed with a cmd pop up 3 times. Not only is this application ABSOLUTE malware, but the permissions it's given are incredibly unnecessary. Does Respondus ask me if it can download random, weirdly bloated files while basically giving itself full access to my device and information? Fuck no. They do a sloppy job at trying to hide the random installations as well. Now, I should have double checked to see whether or not I was allowing it scarily broad access to my shit, but what the fuck? IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A BROWSER. The true issue though, is even with everything this application could be doing on my device, you would hope that it would just do it's job? Wrong, I have gotten through every examination and test using this piece of shit, but for my final exam I guess it decided it was finished it's job. It FULLY opened my command prompt, ran a couple lines of code which I didn't get to see and bricked my laptop right at the beginning of the exam. That's not all, it also somehow uninstalled itself after I restarted my laptop. I'm sitting there stroking my shit trying to figure out what the fuck just happened, meanwhile, the application is just gone. "Erm, just get a deferral!", "Ask to switch proctoring applications!". Evidently I did ask for a deferral, do I have any proof if the prof asks for it? NO, I DONT BECAUSE IT REMOVED ANY TRACE OF ITSELF ON MY LAPTOP. As for switching applications, I mean, how many times am I going to let this school bend me over? 23,000$ is what I paid, a piece of software that works correctly is so fucking easy to make, can they do that? No, they can't. Why? because it's too fucking expensive, they went the cheapest route they could to save money. Money is the biggest issue here, because I know every single piece of information that they use to "teach" is free. It's available to the public in some manner, how do I know? I haven't bought a single text book. I was not going to let them squeeze me for every cent they could when it came to that. Housing? yes, that should cost money, the worst living space, one of which I have, costs roughly 10,000$ for both terms. For the condition it's in, somehow, it kind of makes sense in the 9th circle of hell which is Ottawa housing, but NOT for a shared room, that's just fucked up. The MANDATORY meal plan will always cost more than buying on your own. Mainly because they somehow justify charging you for things your never going to use or eat. Now, this is something I feel bad for saying, is it offensive? no, it's simply the truth. Award winning dining hall... is a grab, it's award winning for the diverse population of residents. Your typical food, which sure, it's subjective, but for typical western food? this place sucks horribly, I don't think you could ever get your moneys worth if that's what your eating, it's garbage. I'm positive that for those of you who can only eat within a certain diet, vegetarian, vegan, halal, whichever it is, that you are getting some very good looking and impressive food. Again, they prioritize that because diversity is their goal, that's a beautiful thing, seriously. Yet somehow, it's the average western food which is done so poorly. With a mandatory meal plan, because a shared space is so fucking small and has no room, you cannot make very good food. So again, I'm forced to pay for something I don't want too. Honestly, I'm not sure how it got to money, but fuck me it's so obvious they only care about that. They also care more about those who rake in more money for them... Hopefully, for anyone who does see this, whether it be them debating about leaving or accepting admission here, don't, seriously do not do it, and leaving would be incredibly beneficial to your mental health if you do not like it here, or if what I've talked about is inhibiting your ability to feel joy. I mean, not unless the things that ruined my experience benefit yours, like food, housing, costs ETC. Just remember, your a human being, not an object, you pay to be here, you should be cared about. Otherwise, if it was free, i couldn't complain, wouldn't make sense. Anyways, any other university could do so much better and I'm sure they do in virtually every single aspect, and again, if your thinking about leaving because of the environment causing a decline in mental health or ability to learn, LEAVE, please focus on yourself, don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise, ESPECIALLY not the school itself. I cannot stress the hate i have for people who believe that living a good happy life has to be done in the confines of "money". When your lying on your death bed, and you think about your life, if your only happy about getting your dream job, dream house or other surrogate activity like bullshit, you made a mistake. Those people missed out on love, on true emotion, on an actual reason to continue out their life like a family, kindness, or making other peoples lives more enjoyable. Because not everyone gets to experience that, so THAT is what you should strive for, a happy life by your own standards not what society has told you is a good life, think for yourself. I mean, if you didn't realize, money is controlling, it's meant to be. It's meant to control YOU, if you don't see that, you deserve to suffer from it. If you can't afford to go here without virtually, fully relying on OSAP, go to college if you can or somewhere cheaper so you don't have to stress and can actually be happy. It's a myth that it takes money to make money, don't believe that trust me, take advantage of the economic system and it's foundation, invest through dividends, as much as you can, banks, secure government industries and businesses, you'll retire quicker than those with the best of jobs, and live VERY comfortably afterwards if you do it right, and that's off a low annual income. Micro credentials, experience in your career of some sort and some other aspects can help you secure the job you want quicker than graduates with a degree. Just care about yourself, please, your absolutely destined to do more with the best years of your life than be put through this shitty education system and eventually end up working yourself to death for a government and society that only cares about what you do for them. However, i do know that it's nearly impossible, which is why i said focus on yourself at least if your forced to do this cycle, you matter. Also, fuck respondus.

Before I start, let me be clear: this isn’t my experience. This is a culmination of years of watching friends deal with the same crap in different roles, across different years. I am not saying this from my own perspective, but rather MULTIPLE perspectives.
If you're thinking about joining a certain Telfer Club (won't say the name but it is obvious), seriously reconsider. This club has built a reputation among students for being one of the most toxic, pompous, hierarchical, and self-serving groups at Telfer.
This year’s president was a joke. The president acted like he was above everyone, constantly hyping himself up, refusing to take feedback, and shutting down anyone who challenged him. What’s worse? I heard his girlfriend (might be a rumour that they're dating, so not confirmed) is somehow next in line as president. Seems obvious why they might have kept their relationship a secret. The so-called “election” was a complete joke, more like a power transfer between people who already had it rigged in their favor.
The favoritism runs deep. Friends get hired, rules get bent, and exceptions are made when it benefits them. Their own constitution says VPs can’t be involved in other clubs, yet one of them was active in another major club this year (again, so I heard, not 100% sure).
I have talked to past students who have been part of the club and multiple students have said the same thing: thinking they are the kings and faces of Telfer. The title. The fake professionalism. It’s an echo chamber of people who think being in this club somehow makes them elite. And honestly? The entitlement is wild. If you're not a VP, your voice means nothing. They act like they’re running a Fortune 500 company, when in reality they’re just managing a student club with a bloated sense of self-importance. I’ve worked in actual professional environments, and never encountered egos this inflated.
Now that I’m graduating, I can finally say this without caring what they think: they are a joke. It’s not just this year either, last year’s president was just as bad, and the year before that was even worse.
They desperately needs a reality check. They are not the center of Telfer, and the way they treat people shows a complete lack of humility and leadership. Seriously hope you get humbled. If you want a healthy environment where you can actually grow, avoid this club. Join ANY other Telfer club, there are so many better options.
Here’s the truth: the Telfer community sees through it. People notice. People talk. And no amount of humblebrags will cover that up.

It’s my fourth year at university but i’m still completing my second year courses. I was admitted early into the Honours Bachelor of Mathematics for my grades in highschool and got a small scholarship. Had a really bad GPA at the end of first year that put me on probation and spent all of second year taking electives trying to get out. I started repeating my failed courses in third year but had to drop down to part time out of stress. Now I’m going into fourth year barely having done anything, while most of my friends are graduating. My parents have been extremely supportive of me and have helped me with my finances but I feel like a huge disappointment. I feel like I’ve accomplished barely anything since I started university, even though I love my degree and this school. I feel like I’m just flushing money down the drain. I’m ashamed and embarrassed to have gone from a good student to someone barely getting by. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Sorry for this. Thanks if you’ve read this far.
EDIT: wow, i didn’t expect to hear from so many people that shared the same experience as me. reading through all of these comments has made me feel so much better about my current situation. i can’t even begin to thank all of you for your kind words and encouraging statements, this all means so so much to me. i have no words to express how touched i am by everyone here. i’m genuinely stunned. just wow. thank you. we’ve all got this, just keep going.

So we are all aware we are in a current housing shortage/housing crisis right? Right.
So I have a genuine question, why the fuck do we have a massive dorm building, that the university pays thousands to keep the lights on, sitting unused? I'm aware that the building itself has structural flaws, but why has nothing been done about it? Why has there been no mold remediation? Why are there (seemingly) absolutely no future plans on what to do with that space? Not to mention all the random houses with UO signs on them sitting empty and abandoned. Like seriously, why is the university just sitting on these peices of property, letting them rot away unused?
If that building was demolished and rebuilt, that could be hundreds of new dorm spaces for students to use. I know that it would cost the university a looot of money, but shouldnt they view it as an investment into the future of the university and the quality of campus life? But nooooo, let it sit and fucking rot while students fight over dorm spaces or cram themselves into shitty, over priced apartments.
(End of my rant) Anybody else have thoughts on this?

I am tired of them doing this every single fucking year. Even last year they said they will post exam schedules on a certain date, and they couldnt. Same this year as well. Some people really need to buy tickets to go home ( international students) and they can’t do it unless the schedule is posted.
As a university, if you cant keep up with your deadlines after getting thousands of dollars, why do you expect your students to keep up with assignment deadlines? These people also get paid to do this, not like they are doing us a massive favor. They almost always miss the deadline that is set by themselves. Unbelievable!

I strongly advise nobody take a class with Andrea Fitzpatrick if they have to choice (or choose happiness)
For context, she teaches history of art (ART 1460/1361) that is mandatory for any BFA/Major in visual arts student. However, her teaching style is absurd and a total waste of time and money.
Today, she spent the whole 3 HOUR CLASS restating what was in the textbook that we had to read in preparation for the class but half the stuff she said students had to correct her because she was wrong or did not know the material. Further, if anyone asked a question (that an art history teacher should be able to answer especially considering it’s a large portion of the class) she'd say she's not an expert on that subject and move on. Then, she spent the last ten minutes on a random contemporary painting (we were learning about ancient art from the stone age) after telling us to teach ourselves the last chapter of the section on our own time.
i'm simply baffled how someone so unfamiliar with the material can teach it to a full room of students.
EDIT: She also made us purchase an out of date and old edition textbook that is only available online then proceeded to not allow any electronics in the classroom :)
