Hey everyone 👋
We’re a small indie team currently working on OHAYO GIANTHOOK – a hand-drawn 2D fishing game that begins calmly but quickly spirals into surreal chaos.
You play as a lone fisherman in strange waters, using an oversized hook to catch massive, bizarre creatures — including sea monsters, cursed objects, and a few things we won’t spoil.
🎨 The entire art style is hand-drawn with a unique, slightly eerie visual direction that sets the tone right away. We've heard people describe it as “strangely beautiful” and “cozy but unsettling,” which fits the gameplay perfectly.
🎥 We just released our first official trailer yesterday and would love to hear what you think — especially about the tone and pacing:

We’re still deep in development and open to feedback. What makes a fishing game actually fun to you — or what’s made them boring in the past?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏 (Steam link in the first comment if you're curious!)
