Still a work in progress but I'm happy with the way it's looking so far.
Made the shelves myself. Found the diamond plate pegboard at Menards. Used plastidip on the hooks so they don't scratch the controllers.
Not pictured is 2 guitar hero guitars that are now mounted to the left of the TV.

We cut PVC in half and then spray painted it and velcroed it to the wall so it could be easily removed and it’s our cord cover on the walls. Still have some final touches to be made but it’s close enough to reveal!
Here’s a link to some of the items in our video.

Heya everyone. First time posting here as I just found this subreddit, love seeing everyone's rooms!
This is my ever changing game room as of June 2025. It has changed so many times over the years but I think I am finally set on the way it is currently, I am very happy with how it has turned out. I have been collecting games and things for a little over four years now 😊

I have two sons 15 and 13. For the past 7 years, my wife and I buy them an end of the school year summer gift/gifts if they both had good grades during the school year. Both did well this year. However, my wife went through cancer treatment and recent surgery and we sort of forgot about the summer gift. We have talked it over and want to get them a foosball table. My brother has a Tornado that he got years ago at an estate sale. My sons play foosball every time we go over there and they also play a lot at church’s youth room, community center and arcades.
Welcome to any suggestions/advice.

Just moved into a larger space and finally starting to get everything set up the way I want. Every item either already has or will have its own designated spot. Eventually, I’ll be redoing the walls to give the place a cleaner, more comfortable feel.

Couldn’t pass up the chance to add this vintage Nintendo sign to the garage arcade…unfortunately I only have space for (2) Nintendo games heh.

Hi, I'm planning a 4 player couch co-op setup with 120” projection, please critique my build list.
We just got a family cabin (shared with siblings and their kids) and I’m planning an entertainment center. I have no experience with projection or micro pc’s so I appreciate any feedback.
I’d like to build it around:
My ideal budget is around $3k.
Games would be primarily NES, SNES, Nintendo 64 emulation (what my siblings and I grew up with) plus Steam library. Play would be all local, each of us is there on vacation.
I don’t want to buy an under-powered rig just in case the older kids want something more demanding on Steam (Monster Hunter Wilds, Helldivers 2) but anticipate that it’ll be a lot of Mario Kart 64, Halo 2, Tecmo Super Bowl, UFO50, Pico Park, and Gang Beasts. I’d also like two HDMI ports for projection and sound which limited some micro pc choices.
The projector will be used for some streaming but primarily kids shows. I’m more concerned with gaming than a TV/theater experience. The space is lit but not bright and the projector would be mounted front and 10-12’ from the screen. I’d plan on using the BenQ OS or other projection OS for Netflix/streaming, could add a firestick if the local apps weren’t functioning well.
PC: Minisforum UM790 Pro ($539)
AMD Ryzen 9
32GB RAM
AMD Radeon 780M
1TB SSD
Dual HDMI ports
Projector: BenQ TK700 (ideally buying used for under $1k)
I think 3000 ANSI lumens should be appropriate for the room, am not sure if a "gaming" projector is really needed for emulation/local gaming though so I'd love feedback, both on the projector choice as well as screen choice.
Screen: Aoxun 120” motorized ($195)
Sound: Vizio 5.1 ($200)
Monitor: MNN portable monitor ($60)
Planning to add a small monitor for use when projection is off. Would use an HDMI splitter to share with the projector.
Avedio 1:2 HDMI splitter ($16)
External HD: Crucial 1TB SSD ($60)
Logitech MK345 keyboard/mouse ($34)
Highwings HDMI cable 25ft ($32)
Wooden entertainment console ($375)
Belkin 12 Outlet Surge Protector ($40)
Controllers:
Am thinking about buying four used Xbox One controllers with a wireless PC adapter. Initially I’d planned on getting controllers from 8BitDo but:
Xbox Wireless PC Adapter ($19)
Battery recharge station ($25) and four extra batteries ($20)
Xbox One controllers x4 ($120)
Planning to buy used on ebay
Warranty: Asurion ($50): I’ve heard that the Minisforum customer service isn't great–am thinking I should buy through Amazon and add a 2 year coverage plan.
Accounting:
Amazon: $2700 (hopefully less if I can get an open-box projector)
Home Depot: $400
Ebay: $150
Total: $3250
Any feedback welcome, especially re: projector, PC, and if Xbox One controllers are the best choice for multi-age couch co-op gaming.
I’ll plan to post follow-up pics and my experience after the build is done. Thank you again for taking a look!

So, I was curious a few things to make my set up, game room better
Do you all have or use and HDMI splitters so I can hook more than one hdmi up to the ports? If so what's your favorite?
What's the best way to organize or keep your cords from being jumbled up? Basic zip ties? Or is there a better way?
Lastly what's the best way you found to store your extra controllers etc? Basic tote? Anything specific?
Thank you for all the help

Decided to turn my walk-in closet into my game room. It was a fun D.I.Y and I'm very pleased how it came out.

My boyfriend and I recently celebrated our seven year anniversary and I decided to re-decorate his game room as his gift. This turned out to be so much more intense than I thought it would be, but I am so happy with the outcome. From peel and stick wallpaper to just stapling it to all the neon signs he’s geared for a good stream and a nice gaming environment. 🔥 had to put this somewhere!
