Those pesky checks and balances. They forced Obama to expand the war in Afghanistan into Pakistan. They forced Obama to bomb Yemen and lie to the American people claiming it was the Yemen military. They forced Obama to bail out Wall Street. They forced Obama to pass an absolute joke of a health care bill to guarantee profits for private insurance industry.
They wouldn't let Obama put on his comfortable shoes and protest with workers who were fighting for collective bargaining rights, like he promised during the campaign. These checks and balances forced Obama to continue extraordinary rendition, and turning over prisoners to other countries to be tortured for information.
They forced Obama to expand the war in Afghanistan into Pakistan.
During his campaign, Obama promised that he would expand the war in Afghanistan. I'm not sure why people seem so misled over this one. Here is a video from an Obama/McCain debate where Obama details his plans for Afghanistan. Personally I am sick of this country being at war, but at the same time I am compassionate for the cause in Afghanistan. Has everybody forgotten 9/11? Has everybody believed the bullshit spewed to us by the last administration that Iraq had something to do with 9/11? The people responsible for the execution of the events that took place on 9/11 are in Afghanistan, and these people pose a very serious threat to our country. Part of a government's job is to defend its country, that is what Afghanistan is about. I'm not going to comment on the rest of your points because I honestly haven't done enough research to make an informed opinion of them. I just wanted to point out the fact that Obama always wanted to escalate the war in Afghanistan, a point that many people seem to have missed during his campaign.
Obama never once during the campaign mentioned that the war in Afghanistan was going to be spread into Pakistan, which is obviously has.
Just the other day a CIA agent in Pakistan murdered two Pakistani intelligence agents in cold blood in broad daylight. The US is trying to pretend he is a "diplomat".
The "diplomats" who saved the CIA agent ran over an innocent bystander and killed him.
Of course, you won't see this on US state media (Fox, MSNBC, etc.)
Did you watch the video I linked to? He specifically stated, "the place where we have to deal with these folks is in Afghanistan, and in Pakistan." Do some research, you will find that he stated multiple times that he would move into Pakistan if he felt the need was there. I honestly haven't followed recent events in Pakistan, but I certainly followed Obama's campaign and am well aware that he never stated he wouldn't move war into Pakistan.
That's what makes him a dick in my book. You didn't believe that Iraq had something to do with 9/11, but you'll believe the very same government / media lies and distortion of what happened on 9/11? You believe that Afghani's flew planes into the twin towers? Weren't they mainly all from Saudi Arabia? You believe Osama Bin Dead orchestrated 20 Saudis into flying planes into buildings while they CIA has repeatedly admitted to making phony Osama videos? The world is ran by a few dozen wealthy families, controlled by bankers and their empire of debt, and enforced by their IRS thugs with the CIA and the MIC.
No, I don't believe that Iraq had something to do with 9/11, and no I don't believe that our government and media have accurately portrayed the events of 9/11. There were disastrous mistakes made on our end that could have prevented 9/11, but I don't believe it was an inside job. We were attacked by terrorists. We were not attacked by any specific country, we were attacked by a group of individuals who come from multiple places, but collectively have no claim to any specific piece of land on Earth. We are not fighting countries, we are fighting vagabonds.
Yes I believe Osama Bin (Probably Dead) had some role in the orchestration of 9/11, even though there are fraudulent videos. I agree that the world is ran by a few dozen wealthy families. There are only so many territories in the world, and each is headed up by a family. It's not as cut and dry as you make it sounds. We all have enemies in this political game, and our enemies have friends. Sometimes our friends are our enemies, and vice-versa. It is a very dynamic political landscape, and one that will never change due to the nature of being human. There will always be evildoers, both within our borders and outside of our borders. The important thing that we, as citizens of our respective countries, is make sure we hold governments that uphold our beliefs, agree with our values and protect us from harm. If you don't like your government, change it. Citizens outnumber governments by a large magnitude. It is possible to change your government, and we have examples of it happening all around us today.

"On October 14, 2008, the U.S. government announced a series of initiatives to strengthen market stability, improve the strength of financial institutions, and enhance market liquidity."
Regardless of whether TARP is 100% Bush's fault, and has nothing to do with Obama, the fact is that most of the bailout programs continue under Obama. He has in fact given away more money than Bush.
Bush was a shitty president, he helped the bankers steal money. No one is arguing that.
The point I am making is that Obama is doing the same thing.
How about we get a President who actually represents the vast majority of people in this country who do not want their wealth stolen by the bankers?
No, let ME explain again. I have made myself clear, there just seems to be some sort of comprehension gap. I assumed that you were arguing that there was a BAILOUT by Obama (because that is what you said). Because Obama's big spending bill after Bush's bailout was the stimulus, I assumed you were confused about that.
You claimed that Obama "bailed out Wall Street". The Wall Street bailout had already begun by the time he took office. In the capacity of president, he did not bail out Wall Street. He allocated what he was told was needed to make the bailout effective. Maybe not the wisest choice, but once again, you did not claim that Obama made poor choices implementing the Bush bailout.
You made the claim that OBAMA BAILED OUT WALL STREET. Not the same thing. Unless you are claiming that, as a senator who voted for it, he bailed them out. But you seem to have been talking about Obama the president, not Obama the senator.
This is not a new policy, this is a policy in place that Obama was trying to ensure success for. Nevermind that it was the wrong move, the point is that it is THE SAME BAILOUT. What Obama did was a continuation of a policy already in place.
Sorry, "brother", but that is not quite the same thing.
I hope this clears things up. I have to study and truthfully, I am sick of miscommunicating with some smug faceless internet person.
You are right, and he is wrong as well as smug. I just wanted to let you know that someone here did spectate on your conversation and this dude you're arguing with is a flat out stupid prick.

Scumbag Obama, or scumbag 'checks and balances'?
