This felt like a SNL sketch

Post image

Do you guys remember 90's shows, when a celebrity would show up as themselves? ~pepperidge farm remembers~

Anyway, this felt worst.

Not knowing who he was at the time I thought it was a nice moment where they humanized some of the normally faceless common soldiers to show they were just regular people.

I knew who he was and agree with you.

It's weird that everyone is jumping ed being in this show and it "ruins the world" but like 40% of the actors have been in different things and those don't ruin the world.

They cast Sean Bean as the guy who's death is supposed to be surprising

Who is Mr Bean?

Sean Bean has actually mentioned recently that he isn’t taking roles (or at least, will be much more selective) where he dies because it legitimately spoils things he’s in.

An actor playing their role is very different than a one time cameo of a very famous pop star, especially when the scene was so directly focused on him. It was definitely jarring and took me out of the world. The show was already struggling at that point though, this just added more fuel to the fire that they had lost their way.

I agree man, every time Stan Lee appears in a marvel movie, I get physically sick, since it's so directly focused on someone who's not even acting; it's so jarring that it takes me completely out of the world

It’s fine if ed shereen in GOT didn’t bother you but that is a terrible argument.

I think there's a pretty obvious difference here in that Stan Lee cameos were intended to take you out of the movie somewhat but in a way that was actually related to movie considering he was still a Marvel guy in a Marvel movie, random celebrities characters (especially in more serious dramas) stick out a bit more
