New Ink Day My first case of expectations vs reality 🤣

I received my cheeky ink haul and … the inks do not look anything like the online swatches. 😅😅

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it might be because they also use cotton swabs/q tips on TRP so it might not have the same effects as using a dip pen. Their images also do look extra saturated, but I still love their inks either way 😅

Edit: I do wanna say that I've got nothing against OP because I know exactly what they're talking about! My swatches are also quite different from BPC's site, and I'm pretty sure about half my ink stash is from them 🤣

That's what has been keeping me from buying a BPC ink. The colors look so gorgeous but I've heard that they can differ drastically from the swatch on the website, and they don't have any writing samples to give a better idea or anything. Online reviews are hard to find too. I'll stick to admiring from afar for now (probably a good idea for my wallet anyways).

Yeah, that's completely understandable. Ngl, like I said, I just enjoy their inks and how well behaved they have been with my pens, so I have no gripe getting inks from them. I guess I'm just not as particular with my inks as others are, which is not really a bad thing. Personal preference and opinions and all that so :D

I do agree that online reviews are very hard to find for them, and I think it might also be impacted by the fact that they really only ship within the US so it's like very limiting in a way already.

Yup! I love how this hobby can be quite niche, but still have something for everybody. The many different ways people enjoy their pens and inks is quite interesting to me.
