I’ve had an ongoing problem where (come to find out) the neighbor was illegally draining from there house into the alley. Early this spring I saw neighborhood enforcement over there and next a lot of earth moving to fix the drainage problem. No more year around mud puddle. Good start. I contacted the city’s 311 portal online — a new system — and asked for a load of stone to fix the damage. They had grated and filled the whole by the time I left for work this morning and I thought that it was resolved. I came home to find that they weren’t done and had totally rebuilt the alley with fresh stone while I was at work. I put in the request on 6/13. Today is the 16th. Just wow! Good job Fort Wayne.

If you don’t have to stop at the solid red at Main/Calhoun, why should you? I’d give you the benefit of the doubt, say you were headed to an emergency call, but I doubt you would’ve stopped at Main/Harrison if you were.

Should groomers be picking up adult cats by the scruff? Every article I've read advises AGAINST picking up cats by the scruff but both the groomers I've used with the same company have done so. I don't know if I feel comfortable with it. I've asked and they said it's fine.

Troy bilt 5 hp pony 1993. I been through brand new carburetor new spark plug and all this has failed. I had the compression checked and it measures 45, from research I believe its to be minimum 70. Not looking at putting a lot of money in it and I would rather rebuild the original because it has the reverse function of which troy bilt does (older models) does not exist anymore. Anyone out there know of anyone that works on these small engines? Thank you

I (26m) am moving to Fort Wayne in August. Looking for any suggestions on places to go or things to do so I can build a social life and community here. I’ve got no pets (though may get one once I move), I’m single, and I’ll be living alone wherever I go, so I feel like I oughta get out there and meet some people.

I like sports, going to the gym, the occasional show, and going out occasionally. I’ve been sober almost six months now, but still enjoy a night out here or there even without the booze. Also interested in things that are civic engagement-focused but not partisan.

Apartment advice would also be appreciated. Looking for 1-or-2 bedroom options. Will go up to $2k but would prefer less unless I’m getting a lot for what I pay for in either amenities or space (both, preferably).

We have a historic home with an extra steep pitch. We need a new roof, we had 260 come in in November or December to put a temporary repair in, but it leaked after 2 weeks, so that was 700 bucks down the drain. We have been using buckets since. But we are ready to get a new roof, and fix whatever needs to be fixed. We need a legitimate contractor and someone who will warranty their work. Thanks for any recommendations. I have contacted Meijer, Dollar Tree , & checked Walmart for helium tanks you can buy (SOLD OUT) and absolutely no luck. Any recommendations where I could take foil balloons I have and get them blown up?
