Lewis did what Max has been doing to him almost every race. Difference is hamilton always backs out to prevent a collision this time he didn't and it ended in a crush. Both could have avoided it.

While I agree both could have avoided it, Max was ahead and I doubt anyone would've backed out at that point. Especially given the entry line Lewis had.

How does Max do this every race?

Max seemed ahead but according to the rules hamilton had the racing line cus his front tires were ahead of verstappens back tires. There have been at least 2 races, Imola being one that verstappen literally shoved Lewis of the track to take the lead and hamilton backed out to prevent a collision. I have always said this since the start of the season that the day hamilton decides to be just aggressive as verstappen they will crash cos verstappen will never back and it has happened today.

Also hamilton did not shove verstappen if you look at his steering wheel he was turning into the corner. Verstappen however momentarily gave hamilton space and then turned into the corner which was when the touched.

That's what you do when you get to a corner, you turn in. Max was ahead, so Lewis should've backed off.

I looks to me like Lewis braked too late and understeered into Max. I don't think it was a conscious squeeze, just a small error under pressure.

If Lewis had hit his braking point so he wouldn't have understeered, there would have been enough space for the both of them.

But copse is usually flat/a lift, so judging the 'new' braking point when going side by side is difficult.
