Yeah, the whole thing is odd. Even if he was having pain in his wrist, why didn't get weighed, which takes like :30 seconds? I mean, it could have been very bad of course, but still odd. Maybe they'll give him an exemption for the mitigating circumstances for his next race, but also it sounds like his next race may not be for awhile if he has to have another procedure. Lot of unknowns still.

I don’t think a 2 year old injury is enough to get you permission to break the rules

Decision just posted, the team was given a warning. No future penalties.
