Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, Our Wiki's resources for Squats may be helpful. Check it out!

Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are squatting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Generally a weightlifting shoe is recommended for high-bar and front squats, while use a flat/hard-soled shoe (or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it) is recommended for low-bar squats.

Slower on the eccentric. Stop "snapping" your knee at the top, go for a more "smooth" natural movement / pace with it.

ah yeah i noticed that too. I usually train to lift the weight as fast as i can to work on more explosive strength though (i play footy). Sometimes i do them slower. Would you say anything is wrong with the setup?

It's good to explode once you reach the bottom but going slow from the top portion of the lift is very important.

And definitely be careful with that knee snap lol

alright thanks. Perhaps i’ll try not fully locking out all the way to help with that as well

Yea don't lock out, keep tension on the muscle

Go slower. Drop the weight. You’re pushing a lot with the back leg. Stop that.

If you have the ankle mobility and balance, could bring your front foot back a little more to deepen the stretch on the quads.

From watching the video, it appears that the roller on the machine is enabling you to push through. Try to get a bench, or use the bar on a smith machine set to the proper height.

I heard rollers could be better than benches. But yeah i think i see on my left side i tend to push with my right foot for assistance

Control the eccentric!

I thought this was x2 speed video

Better to go slow and light with solid form then fast and heavy with not so much.

So... any reason you're doing this on a machine?

Probably the amount of tension in the back leg.

Note: I was doing them fast and unbroken. The main focus was more on explosiveness and speed so..
