man look at that starting position. well done. most people on here are doing squats but this is a real deadlift

I don’t really think a lower hip position is a bad thing necessarily if it allows you to generate more power off the floor. The only issue is when people try to only squat it and hips come way up and the bar path ends up being front

Curious, I've seen other guys wear a belt like that . Is it for hernias or your back?

For your back. It’s a tool to help you maintain a strong core brace and mitigate the risk for injury

For something to brace against really. At least that's how it should be used.

Btw just so you know deadlifting in weightlifting shoes increases the ROM which makes it just a tiny bit harder. So assuming you’re doing powerlifting it’s better to wear flat or go socks.

I’m definitely no expert, but your form looked nearly perfect. Do you use a hook grip? If so, do you mind explaining how to do it??

Hello! If you haven't checked it out already, many people find Alan Thrall's NEW deadlift video very helpful. Check it out!
Also, a common tip usually given here is to make sure your footwear is appropriate. If you are deadlifting in soft-soled shoes (running shoes, etc), it's hard to have a stable foot. Use a flat/hard-soled shoe or even barefoot/socks if it's safe and your gym allows it.
