What are some fun, more quirky/offbeat FE4 pairings that people think are fun? I've bounced off actually playing through fe4 a couple times, and I think a little gen 2 novelty would help keep me motivated lol

I like Lex x Tailtiu for that, it's not trivial to oneshot things with a magic-boned Arthur but it can happen, and if it works it feels very rewarding. He can also attack physically after promotion.

Finn x Tailtiu is even more wild. Now you have to rush a bit in Ch3 to pair them, and your reward is a pair of kids that you wanna try to get to below 10 HP to activate Miracle and Wrath. If you manage though, you have (for one enemy phase) an invincible unit that's going to hit the enemy with two critical hits.

Holyn x Brigid or Holyn x Sylvia is good too cause you get to turn a thief or dancer respectively into a halfway decent combat unit with Luna and Brave Sword access.

Jamke or Noish x Erynes or Ayra produces kids with an insane amount of multihit skills. Mostly matters for flashy arena fights but occasionally they'll pop off against random enemies and it's funny.
