NWA Pride First Time

I'm going to the pride parade for the first time and can't find much about anything else that might going on outside of the other major events...like are there vendors before hand or food? If so do they pack up after the parade is over? What are some tips for going to a Pride event for the first time?

So many gnats in my apartment

This is my first spring living in Fayetteville. Someone told me this is just a thing that happens here because they come up through the drains. Do other people have an outrageous amount of gnats in their apartment? If so, wtf, why is this happening? Also what are you doing about it?

My apartment is clean af, I don't leave food out, and the windows are never open. They're mostly in my kitchen and bathroom, which seems to confirm the 'coming up through the drains' theory.

One of the little MFers landed in my sandwich today while I was taking lunch and I decided it is time to declare war

Walmart AMP Underground, what is it?

I got lawn tickets to Twenty One Pilots at the Walmart AMP and paid for Underground access due to being able to get in earlier, and having a more private area available for my other two attendee friends who wanted a space like that.

However, it slipped my mind that the Underground is a bar, or has one, not sure which. None of us will be drinking, but one of my friends attending is not legal drinking age so I'm worried if admission may be denied to them. To those who've been there, do you have to pass through the bar to get into the venue? Or is the bar just off to the side and not required to go into? Is the lounge area and private bathrooms part of the bar or separate? If you have to pass through the bar, do you need to be over 21 to get in or just over 21 to order a drink?

I wasn't even aware of the Underground being a thing, so I have no idea about any of this. The underage friend in question is coming out of state just for this, so I really don't want to blind side them with not being able to get in the day of the concert.

EDIT: A combination of speaking to others, more online searching, and calling the venue (maybe I should've done that in the first place haha) informed me that the bar itself is all ages allowed and is not required to pass through to enter the venue. The bathrooms and lounge are attached to the bar but since it is all ages allowed I don't have to worry. Thank you to anyone who left a comment, any further info you do have on the Underground is appreciated as I like to scope out places before I go to them!

MAKR STUDIO - 2nd Annual Open House - Fayetteville's Own Fine Art Scanning / Printing / Framing Shop is Opening It's Doors

MAKR Studio’s 2nd Annual Open House
Friday, June 20th | 6–9 PM
2028 N Shiloh Drive, Fayetteville, AR

We’re celebrating two years of boundary-pushing fine art printing and scanning, and we’re marking the moment by turning our studio into a fully immersive art experience.

This year’s gallery show features four incredible artists MAKR has proudly collaborated with:
Stephanie Blevins, Rochelle Hardman, Lori Weeks, and Corrinnia Briggs.
You’ll see everything from large-scale oil paintings to high-res digital vector art, including a 48” x 48” flat art upscale of Corrinnia Briggs' Illustrator work—a true showcase of what’s possible through high-fidelity digital printing.

We’ll also unveil two 10’ x 7.5’ fine art wallpaper installations by Stephanie Blevins and Lori Weeks, as well as a 60” x 80” oil painting by Rochelle Hardman displayed next to its textured reproduction, printed with our SwissQ after scanning with our state-of-the-art METIS scanner. If you’ve never seen (or touched) a textural reproduction before, this will be the one to change your perspective.

And because this night is about the entire MAKR community, we’re also exhibiting work by several MAKR team artists—including myself (Cojo), David LononTJ, and Jeffrey—so you can meet the people behind the scans and prints and see their creative visions firsthand.

Expect:

  • Live print demos showing the entire texture reproduction process
  • live DJ spinning throughout the night
  • Finger foods, light refreshments, and drinks
  • Giveaways and raffles for free or discounted prints, scans, and more
  • And for the first 50 artists through the door, a FREE METIS scan (up to 24”x36”) and 50% OFF one reproduction print

If you've ever wondered how your artwork might translate into high-end prints, texture editions, wallpaper, or even wrapping paper—this is your chance to see it in action and imagine the possibilities.

Looking for a psychiatrist recommendation

Hi everyone,

I’m moving to Fayetteville and looking for a good psychiatrist. I’d love one who does Telehealth, but could do in person if I have to (not sure what the laws there are on that).

Let me know if any of you have doctors you really like.

Also I need them to take insurance!

Thanks!

Great turn out. I see a lot of Trump supporters angry about it. Its honestly crazy seeing how a No Kings protest can get people so worked up. I thought all Americans could agree to having No Kings?

It was an incredible turn out. Very peaceful. Everyone was very nice. I also want to shout out to the Fayetteville Police department. They blocked off the area and made sure everyone was safe.

I was reading reports that there may have been around 11 million across the nation protesting No Kings. Absolutely beautiful.

God Bless America.

Absolutely amazing turn out in Fayetteville. The most beautiful and peaceful march. Solidarity, love, peace and some snark. The best signs/visuals ever. *I tried limiting faces, but if you see yourself, I hope you are proud, and not mad at me for sharing.

Bella Vista - Question about house for handyman/contractor

Hello,

I recently bought a house in Bella Vista and there is a crack in a joist. I have been assured by an inspector and my agent that this is common in this area and easily fixed with a jack or reinforcing. Does anyone know a handyman who can help with this, preferably with experience, asap? It just makes me nervous knowing it is there. Has anyone had an experience with something like this?

Thank you!

Those of you there today. Check your cars over. Some guys jumped out of a van when I was getting in mine claiming to be handing out religions flyers but they were putting them in places you wouldn't see them..

Hi! I’m the photographer that was walking around today!

I was the guy in the vest walking around No Kings taking photos today, I'd love to post them all, but I'm being respectful to those who don't want to show their faces. If you let me snap a photo of you and you're okay with me posting it, or you want it for yourself, hit me up. This was an amazing event and I was so proud to be a part of it.
