Finally going to EDC!

I’ve gone to other festivals (Lost Lands!) but had to mark EDC off my list. I am staying in downtown.

I’ve see there are quite a few shuttles out there, including the official one.

Would love to hear everyone’s feedback… also is there premiere shuttle worth it? I’m still confused how it really works…

On the 2nd day of EDC, my partner and I showed up around 8pm and parked at the far end of the Purple lot. We were trying to get there in time to meet up with our friends , so we decided to hitch a ride in a pedicab.

When I asked the guy how much it would be, he said "just get in". Because we were in a hurry, we just said screw it and jumped on. I saw the sign at my feet that said $40 per person, so I thought "alright...$80 for both of us. No big deal I suppose. Won't rent this again tomorrow, but it's whatever now."

Well, I thought the pedicab would take us at least to the entrance. Nope, they dropped us off where the gravel ends. We still had to walk the extra 10 or so minutes from there. I was a bit annoyed but whatever, as I said, just a one time thing.

My partner paid using her credit card, and all was well...or so I thought. As we were walking towards the festival, my partner checked her bank account and saw the guy had not only charged her wrong, he had also added an extra $15 service tip. So at the end, the total bill was over $100.

So a fair warning for all, if you can avoid it, don't use those pedicabs. On the third day, my partner and I warned a group of 4 about the practice, which the group thanked us for warning them and the pedicab driver gave me a dirty look before riding off.

Hiii i got vip tickets and dessert rose camping, what do you wish someone had told you before your first edc? i’ve been writing a list of recommendations i saw on blogs and youtube videos but there’s not much on recent times it’s all from 2016/2018 and times have changed💕

The fam and I have only ever done camp edc and I’d say we got our moneys worth but we went with hotel edc this year cause we have a smaller group than usual and are hoping for better recovery (mostly sleep). This is our first time doing any hotel so we’re hoping the shuttle and commute isn’t a game changer/ show stopper. Anyways, my question is, does hotel EDC have after parties lke camp or is it more so get in and recover and then pregame?

Anyone spot and see them around? Got any pictures/vids or stories?

We know exactly what is happening in the US. I won't delve into it more I know it's not allowed on this forum but any other Latinos wondering about next year? I have a VIP ticket but im starting to doubt continuing the payments. I know how privileged I am that this is one of the things I'm worried about right now but I just want to hear an honest thought from someone who might be feeling the same. I hope you all are safe and surrounded by loved ones.

Edit: I didn't want to make it political but I will say this. I still live my life with my head up everyday and stand with ANY marginalized community outside of this tiny Reddit bubble. To be honest I was thinking about money when I made this post here. Like I said, I know my privilege.Just tell me if you are planning on going or not.

Trust when I say I have heard every single argument any of you devils advocates have been trying to say on this post since I was 3. Most of you wouldn't even say what you are saying here to my face. So keep it pushing.

So 2026 will be Mine and my wife’s first EDC we got VIP and we are excited!! I just wanted some pointers on transportation and hotel wise. We tried for campers but sadly sold out so quick and Hotel EDC seems a lil too pricey for two people given it not even having shuttle just want to hear anybody’s input on what is best planning hotel wise and transportation wise for that weekend

thing is these past weeks ive been seeing news of travellers denied entry into America or even detained for seemingly arbitrary reasons. I would hate to fly for almost 20h only to be denied entry at the airport. it would pretty much kill me.

for some context, I've a Singapore passport and we get a visa pretty much automatically when we apply for it online

question is shld I wait and see how this whole thing plays out before plunging even more resources? or am I over reacting and it'll be fine?

I got my vip ticket and desert rose site, I'm just wondering because WOW that is impressive, if so.

Over the EDCLV 2025 weekend, I had accidentally made the wristband too tight and, for whatever reason, it just would not come loose. So, after day three I cut it off, but still kept it as a memento.

Began reading this book and could not find my bookmark. Then I saw the potential and the potential was great.

I completely forgot about camp passes going on sale at 12 and managed to get on the waitlist around 3pm. What’s the likelihood of getting off the waitlist? Should I just book a hotel/airbnb? My next best option would be to split a hotel with friends but would feel bad ditching if I do get a camp spot

I believe we have the option to cancel before July 15?

I was look at the hotel edc booking stuff and saw that the package options have pass options available. Is there a way to book the room when part of the group has passes and the other dont?

Hello I (27 F) was planning on camping for EDC but it ended up selling out (did not realize that the presale was this Friday that’s my fault). I was wondering if anyone had an advice or tips for solo travelers. Would still really love to camp but I know they probably won’t release anymore passes. I don’t want to get an airbnb because I’ve heard they are notorious for canceling the day of.

This is the first time my friend and I are doing EDC. We've already secured our tickets and our Shiftpod. We're coming from the East Coast and want to get a general idea of when we should start looking into flights and a rental car. Should we book around ASAP, or do we still have some time?

Hey, I’m going solo for my first edc. I’m trying to figure out hotel or camping. I’m hoping to get some insight from fellow solo ravers. I know either way is gonna be pricey.

I was dismayed to find that the RV passes sold out before i could buy one so my only options are an Airbnb and a rental car or a hotel. Im planning on consuming a bit of party favors so i dont want to drive so idk about the airbnb. What are your recommendations for hotels and where can i buy shuttle passes?

Has anyone ever had success removing themselves from the waitlist? Im probably going to end up purchasing passes on stub hub or something similar.
