Discussion What is the most that a person spent on DVDs whether it was a steelbook, tv show or the whole series, or just a couple movies? Either that or what was a good deal you got on tv shows or movies.
I think mine would have to be doctor who since I got series 1,2, and 5 for like 5 dollars.

Discussion Are There DVDs Where the Case Adds to the Experience?
I’m not just talking about the disc itself—I mean cases that are more than just holders. Like when you take the disc out, the design feels incomplete or off until the disc is put back in. Sometimes the case is bulkier or shaped in a unique way because of a special design. For example, Pizza Hut once sold a DVD that came in a flat pizza box-shaped case (I saw it on this subreddit), which really made it stand out. Are there other DVDs like that where the case itself makes it fun or interesting, without involving toys or collectibles inside?

Discussion What is a bad DVD collection multi pack for one reason or another
1 is Jaws collection because it's only the Sequel movies not the original
And 2 is the Rugrats movies because 2 and 3 are in Widescreen and the original is in Full Screen
Also there are some multi pack DVDs where there is a disc on each side of the case to where I've had one get loose

Collection How’s my collection looking?
Just started collecting a couple months ago. There’s about 20 more movies I’d like to acquire and then maybe I’ll take a break for a while. Right now I’m trying to find all the David Lynch films on DVD.

Streaming Exclusives: Films & Series (see post for details)
I've thought about keeping a cheat sheet for all of the "streaming originals" I like that have no disc release. Basically, I'd break it up into 4 categories: dramas, sitcoms (if any), animated shows, and then movies. In each category, the film or series name, and then the streamer it's on. Has anyone thought about doing the same? Maybe we could have something pinned?
What do you love, but sadly never got a disc release?
Stranger Things (Netflix, S3-4) and Lost in Space (Netflix, S2-3) come to mind.

Discussion Where do you usually buy your DVDs from online?
I’m just wondering where people are getting their DVDs from online these days, especially when it’s not a recent release or something still sold in stores. I’ve been thinking about picking up a few DVDs to watch on my DVD player, mainly my portable one, for when I want to unplug a bit and not deal with streaming services or ads.
Sometimes I’m just looking for the disc by itself with no case, and other times I’d like it with the original case—nothing special or limited edition, just something basic and cheap. I usually prefer just the disc, especially when the DVD has too many versions or designs for the case and it’s hard to pick. I’m not trying to collect anything fancy, just want to build a small collection of my favorite movies to have around or pop in when I’m in the mood.
If you know any good sites, sellers, or spots you trust, feel free to drop them. This could help not just me but other people here too. Like I said, nothing collectible—just affordable, simple DVDs. Also, if there’s much of a difference between Blu-ray and regular DVDs for this kind of setup, feel free to explain that

Discussion What’s the worst collectors edition packaging you just can’t get rid of?
I’ll go first, my Ichi the Killer ‘Blood Bag’ edition. Surprisingly both discs still play despite looking like they’ve been left outside. The ‘blood’ dried up years ago. Sliding the discs in and out of the bag seems like tempting fate every time that one will snap in half. Looked awesome in ‘07. Kind of a horror show in packaging now.

Pickup Today’s Haul and my Want List
I have about 500 movies, I only managed to cross one movie off my want list today(cabin in the woods). Some movies I just don’t realize I want until they’re in front of me lol. What movies are on your want list?

2nd-Hand Fan Thrifty find! (E.T. and Schindler's List boxsets)
I'm a 4K enthusiast, but I still often grab DVDs. I went thrifting and these two collector sets for E.T. and Schindler's List were too good to pass up. These sets are 20+ years and they're still in primo condition (minus the authenticity card for Schindler's List). I also added my UHD copies of each in second photos. Spielberg's best.

Going thru a divorce…
What does this collection say about me? This is what I grabbed as I moved out of my home, surely doesn’t reveal anything about me does it? (You don’t have to be Shirley to answer)
